Hope all goes well this afternoon @Coxy11.🤞🏼

You seem to have had a better week in terms of work stress @Jellybaby. Hope it shows on the scales.😊

It's always a worry that you've forgotten something just before a holiday @ruby_eskimo. We always quote the mantra from Shirley Valentine, 'Passports, Tickets, Money'. If you remember  those then anything else you can sort out. I'd probably add medication to that for anyone with health issues.

Thanks for all your good wishes. I went back to group yesterday teatime. Although I prefer to weigh in the mornings, I can rarely stay to that session so I thought it was time I sat in on an Image Therapy session. It's not a problem as the venue is just down the road. Yesterday was about hydration and how important it is to drink plenty (particularly water). That's not just because it's healthy but especially for SW as we're having so much fibre in veg. A couple of weeks ago I was really good with drinking (water😉) but tailed off last week probably because I was disappointed with no instant results. I've been better this morning so far. I've had about a litre plus teas. 👍🏼

I haven't done my meal plan or shopping list for this week yet. It's our wedding anniversary on Sunday and we're going out for the day. Not sure where yet as we'll be guided by the weather. I know we'll eat out so I won't be cooking a roast and will miss all the LO veg that are my staple for a couple of lunches so need to plan alternatives.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
    L- veggie hash (F,S) fried egg (P) pickles (S)
D- baked salmon (P), SW chips (F), tomatoes, mushrooms, green stuff (S)
    Syns- weekend wine😁
  • Morning all,

I've not been good at keeping to plan this week, it's been hectic and something on every day. I've eaten out twice, had a family birthday so unsurprisingly gained 1.5lb this week. I've also spent a lot of time at my Mum's which is always a trigger as there is just too many sweet treats everywhere.

My head still feels in the right place, I have a cricket training session tonight, a match on Monday so plenty of exercise coming up. Will also attempt to get a run or two in over the next week.

I am on holiday the following week in Devon only 4 nights, but will be having a scone and jam and chips on the beach, hoping our walking that week will balance it out a little. But gives me the motivation for ensuring a good week ahead.

My little win for today was resisting the temptation to stop off in Cheltenham for lunch at Mowgli's so having a free salad for lunch and a low syn dinner this evening.

    Have a good day all

Glad it went okay yesterday @bubbs and can totally understand your DMum feeling low today. Well done for having a good dinner when you got home. I'm sure the cake was much needed xx

I've just got back from DDad's investigative procedure. He has tumours in his bladder and a lot of blood. Consultant wants to operate asap (within the next 2 weeks). Stepmum has said she wants him home so he can be treated there. His flight is booked for Wednesday but consultant says he doesn't want DDad flying. I'm still trying to process everything. I REALLY REALLY REALLY could do with some chocolate right now but I'm not going to sabotage myself. Making do with a strong coffee.

@Coxy11 sorry to read about your dad. I'd be inclined to listen to the doctor here and not fly but if he's adamant about going back to Cyprus I hope he can go straight to surgery and won't have to delay and go through tests again.  What a worrying- and frustrating -  time for you x

Glad everything went OK yesterday @bubbs I'm sure a little cake won't make any difference as you're always so on plan and have very few syns.
