All the veg for today's roast came from the Too Good To Go bags we picked up on our way home on Friday evening!  I'd ordered 2 - one from each of the Morrisons near where we live - from France on Thursday.  There was some broccoli as well but there was well past using so just chopped and put into the compost bin!

The red onions, peppers, carrots, green beans and cauliflower were all from one store.  Most of the stuff in the other bag wasn't much good for us as mainly white bread & rolls!  The only veg which didn't come from the TGTG bags was the potatoes!

    Hello :)

Just checking in to say hi, life has been very busy the last 2 weeks and I haven't managed to keep on plan at all. Also my scales have packed in so no idea on losses/gains/maintains!

I need to buy new scales when I get some spare money, but it's my daughter's birthday in 4 weeks so that has priority.

Hopefully this week will be calm and I can concentrate on sticking to plan....

    Morning all,

Looks like a nice day in store today. I'm WFH, DDad is being picked up by DSis at some point this afternoon I think. DH got back very late from friends' 50th - his roast dinner is still in the MW and I'm leaving it there to make a point.

That was a good haul in terms of veg @joedenise. Annoying about the scales @canvascamper - when is your next WI?

Tonight's dinner is a new recipe from one of the mags - couscous with chicken, chickpeas and wild rocket. I couldn't get rocket in Aldi yesterday so will grab that today.

    Have a good day everyone

Morning all, another nice day today here too although showers are forecast this evening.  Pleased to say I got all the clothes washing finished yesterday and line dried.  Have all been folded and put away too.  The forecast is showing showery for the next couple of days so going to leave doing the bedding until Thursday and Friday - 2 loads including a duvet from the motorhome plus the bedding from our bed which will need changing by then!

I got a couple of bags of spinach in the TGTG bags and generally don't use fresh spinach as prefer to use frozen, particularly when I'm making curry.  No curry planned this week so think I'm going to try freezing it as no way am I going to get through all that before it goes manky!  Used a good handful this morning with my scrambled eggs but was rather too much - more spinach than egg, LOL!

    Today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast - HEB; P; S
L - ham salad - P; S (will add a small handful of spinach leaves to the chopped lettuce to use some of it up!)
D - Something with the LO lamb!  Not sure what yet although I have quite a bit of LO veg as well so might just slice it and reheat it in Oxo stock (I'm not a lover of gravy!)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, not great weather here - wet and windy since about 6 am and no sign of it brightening up.

WFH for me too and plan to finish at my usual time of 4.30 as I have pilates tonight and not missing it again!

DS1 is moving back to Scotland 😍and starts his new job in a few months! After living on the other side of the world for years, working notice, packing up and getting back here in time to start makes my head spin but if anyone can do it it's him. I've now got a separate to do list just for him 🤣

    Today's food:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt, strawberries, raspberries, Skinny syrup (0.5 syns)
L - veggie omelette (using up l/over veg from dinner last night), pickles
    D - homemade burgers, w/meal roll (HEB), chips, salad, 30g cheddar (HEA2),

    Have a good day all.

Morning all! I used to do slimming world about 7/8 years ago and gave it up.  I'm looking to go back for 6 weeks only just to try and lose some weight for my holiday.  I'd be happy to lose 7lbs!  I am, like most people i'd imagine trying to save some money and wondering if I could go it alone or if it's worthwhile going to the group just to get the books etc.  has much changed?  Still 15 syns per day, sill 2 hexA & 1hexB?  If there are others on here who do it from home can you let me know where I get latest syn values etc from?  Thanks for your help!

Welcome @shezam.  The only things which will have changed over the last 7/8 years since you last did SW will be some of the syn values.  There are lots of people on here who will be able to help with syn values if you just ask - I haven't got access myself at the moment as not been to group for nearly 3 months due to various holidays and other commitments!  Planning on going back in a couple of weeks but hoping I'm still in target range so I don't have to pay, LOL!

It might be worth going back and getting a 6 week Countdown where you pay for 5 weeks so one week free and at the moment there is a free book if you do this.  Offer valid until 22 July.  You should easily be able to lose 7lb in that time if not a bit more - some people would easily lose double that but not me - I'm a very slow loser!

    Good luck whatever you decide.

Thank you so much! I didn't realise about the offer they have on so that is a possibility if i do decide to join.

To be honest I don't want to do the whole group and clapping etc.  Maybe I could turn up at the end of way in and join that way, then just weigh and go for the next few weeks.  Again thanks for your help!

    Hi and welcome @shezam :)

I now have access to the app again which is great. I had leftover roast chicken for lunch with homegrown lettuce, tomatoes, carrot sticks and pickles. DH ate the roast dinner I'd plated up for him - god bless his belly, it's been in the MW all night.

Syns today have been 2 x hi fi bars plus 0.5 for yoghurt on my cereal this morning. Dinner is free food. Tomorrow I'm on SP aaaarghhhh!
