Try not to worry, next week at the latest I would say, I get a decent bit back every year, think th3 most it's been is 3 weeks, I've done about 12 returns nowMrh1019 said:I feel a little less worried now! Times are hard we could do with this money!1 -
I’ve just got off the phone with an agent. Mine is currently sat pending but going through additional security checks because it’s a high refund 4300.
I asked if these were automated computerised checks he said it was a team.
so I take it that an individual will sit through them all and check it’s correct?0 -
Just out of interest, at the point of security checks is this when you have to prove expenses etc or is security checks just ID? Also other people on CIS do you use accountants? I’m wondering whether we might moving forward as I get so nervous I’ve entered something wrong!0

Try not to worry too much. Ours is around the same amount. First time we got it in June, second time May & every other year since has been 18-20th April. So it may take a little longer this year as it’s a higher amount.Mrh1019 said:Is anyone else still waiting for a repayment that filed slightly later? Thanks1 -
Yes, that is correct. And if agents are tied up answering phones they cannot be doing security checks.zab1234 said:I’ve just got off the phone with an agent. Mine is currently sat pending but going through additional security checks because it’s a high refund 4300.

Try not to be concerned. It might also be better if you stayed off the thread as some of the ‘advice’ is a little misplaced and speculative. An HMRC representative will tell you what they are permitted to tell you - no more!Mrh1019 said:Just out of interest, at the point of security checks is this when you have to prove expenses etc or is security checks just ID? I don’t think the amount matters at all. Every year I receive around £6000 and have never been through any extra checks. It probably is random to a certain point and also if things have changed drastically from previous years. I completed mine on the 6th and was in my bank today1

Nothing to do with the amount. When I last worked approximately 9% of tax returns were randomly selected for further scrutiny. Others failed ‘trigger tests’’ and some were further inspected due to complexity. There are no guarantees.sam8787 said:I don’t think the amount matters at all. Some are just address checks, or bank account checks, some check the CIS database to ensure you are in this scheme.zab1234 said:[Deleted User] said:
