My return is still showing as repayment pending (submitted on 6th April) and I expect my return will have security checks because it’s got a house sale with very little capital gains over a 15 year period (we were lucky to sell without a loss as most other houses in the area have lost 15-25% in value over that period!) plus there is a big lump sum payment to the NHS to purchase addition pension which does not get relief at source. What contact should I expect and is there a typical timeline?
    Thanks.
It depends on where your case is in the queue and how many staff are available to work on them.

And how many staff are otherwise engaged in dealing with requests for an updated position. There are a lot of impatient people out there!

Requested payment 14th after a few bounce backs, just has email and app message saying it’s been approved as of 19th, will be in bank tomorrow :), got security checked last 2 years and surf 2 last year and payment October after a submitted return in April,  so happy not to have to go through that again. Good luck all

Hi all, new here so sorry for any silly questions. My husband filed his return on the 10th and requested payment on the 11th. It’s still showing as pending and it’s worrying us a little. The past few years he has been due around £1800 back however this year for one reason or another it’s £3800. I’m wondering if it will automatically go to security checks due to the increase? His costs are roughly the same as last year but he earned less. He is under the CIS scheme if that makes any difference? Thank you :)

Yes I would imagine security checks due to the amount.

Wouldn't be worried, it's only been just over a week, probably be by the end of next week I'd say

It’s stressing me out so much! Honestly I’d have preferred him to be due less so it came sooner. The thought of waiting months for it is not fun.

Are you quite confident the return is accurate?

No mistakes like saying he's exempt from Class 4 NI?

Assuming he's self employed of course.

No no mistakes, he’s not exempt. We’ve done it same as every year. Do you think it could just be that it’s not been ten working days yet?
