Indeed - hopefully someone will start a new thread rather than have six running concurrently.Fenwick2107 said:Nearly that time of year 😂2 -
Last year was the first time I had to submit a tax return. My record keeping wasn't great and it took a lot of time going through my various accounts and trawling through my emails to find all the correct figures (gift-aid donations in particular were a pain and I am sure I missed out on some claimable relief due to gaps in my records).
This year I have been far more organised and kept proper records throughout the year.
So I could complete my return now as I have all the information. I'll probably wait a few weeks though to receive my P60 and 'official' interest statements so I can double check my figures before submission.
Last year I had to pay extra tax
This year I think they owe me money
Next year, who knows? But my return will be simpler as I've reduced the number of savings accounts I have, and moved my shares into an ISA.0 -
All done we shall see what happens this year fingers crossed for a smooth process.

Did not ask for bank details this year for the refund. Will log in tomorrow and request repayment, but I noticed its asking to confirm identity like last year with passports etc2

I had to Identify myself last year too, but didn't hold any of the required documents (valid passport) so had to call up and get verified that way. I have a valid passport at the ready now, so hopefully tomorrow I don't have any problemsgeorgiasdragons said:
