HMRC Return 2023

Hi guys I submitted my return last night around 6pm it I received receipt of online submission email that they have but on my online account it is showing not yet received is this due to bank holiday ? I am due a refund but not showing the amount or anything yet for me to request repayment ?

Even if there wasn’t a bank holiday the system does take a few days to update.

It does show the amount I am due back when I view my return I have submitted  it just isn’t showing when I go in to my Hmrc app and go on my self assessment section ,

Not until the return has gone all the way through HMRCs systems.

You can view what was submitted straight away but it won't show on your statement of account instantaneously.

Not until the return has gone all the way through HMRCs systems.

You can view what was submitted straight away but it won't show on your statement of account instantaneously.

Oh thanks for this it’s just some people in this forum have stated they have already submitted they’re return and requested repayment I’m guessing this may be if they did it first thing yesterday and not late on in the day like I did ?

Yes mine is and I’ve requested repayment today so that should change in a few days
