Not quite day one for me as going to finish the gin - cant throw it away! SHould be gone by the w/e & then its no drink & no smoking! Have also signed up for sealed pot challenge & hen I would have had a bottle of wine (2.79) I'll put that in! Smoing is less of a problem but I'll get more nicoteine lozenges as they seem to work for me! Good luck all giving up today!

I'm in! I drink wine, and tend to stock up on bottles when I see a good offer on Tesco points or something, so might not notice the difference in my pocket during January, but it will be good for me. Also going to cut down to one cup of coffee a day as I drink FAR too much of that too! Back on weightwatchers so no alcohol is really good thing!!

  • Can I join this too - seems like a great idea especially after I've just read Allen Carr's Easy Way to Cut Down! Really makes you think and have not had a problem with very little alcohol over Christmas. Going back to work is the challenge; after very stressy day you sometimes just feel like a glass of wine!

  • I am in on this one, need to give my body a break as it does it no good with my medication. Also need to lose some weight for my wedding in Oct so giving up the old vino for a while should help a great deal.

    Good luck everyone.

Well day 1 done and so far so good. Should not be a problem as I am working another 5 days yet and dont drink when i am working. The test will be on Monday next week. Come off that morning and that is when I normally start with the lager for 3 days.

Hope everything is going OK with everyone.

1st "JAFA" day was difficult as we had visitors. and it was SO hard to not drink while others were, but I made it and it should be easy till the weekend now.
