  • Good stuff.

I usually have at least four cans of Stella when I get home from work, probably about five nights a week. Maybe a couple more cans at the weekend. I was going to just cut down to weekends and when there is football on TV, but after reading this I've decided to go for a drink free month in January, just to see how I feel.

Good luck, thanks for the idea!

  • Good luck Pinkteddybear.

Know what you mean. When I am not working I can drink up to 12 cans a night  . I kid you not. That is the first time i have put that in writing and I think I am a binge drinker. All that is going to stop as of tomorrow. This thread has given me the inspiration and the courage to admit that and it is nice to have some support along the way. I to was going to cut down, but like fags, I dont think that would work as i would keep finding excuses to have one ie the king of Norways 1st anniversary of passing his driving test or something:rotfl: :rotfl:

Will have a few tonight. More of a farewell to a companion that has been around my neck for something like 30 years now. Will be nice to loosen the grip.

    Quite excited about tomorrow now.

Hope you all have a good day and will pop in later.

  • just a quick thought..
I will probrably have some beer stocks left over tommorrow (unless tonight is a bigger party than usual).
Any ideas on how to stop myself getting tempted? other than pouring it down the sink..
“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”
  • I will be tipping any leftovers down the sink myself.

  • Might give mine away..
I know its bad for me but I cant bring myself to wast it..
Gotta get rid of it though as I have almost zero willpower and I know I will be tempted.
I usually drink around 8 cans a night at the weekends fri sat sun...
and sometimes in the week if I am working away from home.

staying sober in a Travel Inn is gonna be SO hard...

  • OH is aiming to give up until 25th March, that's his birthday. I'm going to support him but I don't think I'll make it through to March, so I'll join in with you all until the end of Jan and then see how it goes.

    Good luck to us all.
