Fot the OP a decent comparison of the three major free anti-virus programs can be found here
I've used all three at various times and never had a problem, however Ido also use the best Anti-Virus protection available, the one installed between my ears! It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends

Now that really is good, thanks. Can I ask a personal question? how old are you? you can PM if you wish. The reason I ask is that I only took up the internet a few years ago after a heart attack, and being near to 70, the old grey matter is only capable of taking in so much.
Funnily enough, you know those Nintendo LS lite things. I was offered a demonstration of one in a store recently. It was the Brain one. After several attempts, it said I had eye sight of a 40 yr old and my brain was 80!
I suppose that says it all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Who are you asking?

Personally, I'm not too old! (20) but working as a Network Security Engineer so have to do a lot of research on these things anyway.
I think you mean Nintendo DS Lite? hehe. Those things are designed to put your confidence down to start with and slowly build it up, so I wouldn't worry too much

Guess I'm not too old then (27). Two age milestones for me was getting on a bus where the bus driver was obviously younger than me, and other one was seeing police officers much younger. Haven't had any games console since the Mega Drive and that's a fair few years ago now. (Still play PC games though)."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

We will all have different favourite free Anti Virus Scanners, the important thing is to at least use some form of guard against virus.
I use AVG, because I have never had any problems with it, I am sure the others are all OK as well.0 -
Well both my children have Ds Lites and I use those and Santa's bring a Wii this year for all of us. I dont' think age really comes into it, the DS is a great piece of kit whatever age you are. I do spend a lot more time on PC games though, mainly because consoles aren't really ideal for strategy games. It's my problem, it's my problem
