well the cards are out, managed to miscount so will nip out tomorrow with the ones I missed ;)
went Christmas shopping, could have done better  but still. have one aunt who is so hard to buy for. Saw some nice cushions in BHS bit expensive but had reduced stickers on. but when I got to the till I was charged full price.. when I queried it only two had reduced stickers and two were marked full price. the assistant said she could only charge two reduced as they weren't on offer any more....so I said forget it and left them.

still only a few odds and ends to get tomorrow, leaving the food shopping for the weekend.
praying the last of the online pressies arrive in time. still have not heard from Virgin about my refund so will chase that up tomorrow too.

goodness I'm late on and don't really have time to be idly chit chatting but what the hey
I've only skim read so I know vaguely that some of us are poorly or have poorly loved ones - hugs to you, some of us have had sofa disapointments - how frustrating not to be having it in time for xmas but at least no one's going to spill red wine down it .... yet, and someone was asking about passports - well any civil servant can sign it for free so if you know anyone who is a civil servant then get them to do it - I've done loads.

well tonight's drama involved Mr Caring Sharing - he turned up at 8pm to pick up dd, she asked him to wait till nine before leaving so she could take her medicine without risk of spills in the car and then decided that she didn't want to go. His plan is to take her to his gf's tonight and then to gran's tomorrow but she is not comfortable at the gf's. She's nice enough but has rules and dd doesn't know what to do in the am, whether she's allowed up, how to switch the telly on etc. The journey is long and tedious and there is no radio in the car. He is of no real fixed abode and lives out of a bag between his mum and gf and dd feels that she is tolerated at both houses. He could afford his own place many times over but is reckless with money - she really needs somewhere she can leave stuff and where she is familiar with her suroundings - they have just left and it took me all this time to persuade her to go. All the time exoh was feeling pressured because gf was waiting and had cooked etc. so was less than patient. There really was no alternative - I must work tomorrow as I'm the Head Bone of a skeleton staff and middle dd is out tomorrow so would only be dragigng her dsis around the shops.

Hilstep - A real dirty cow wouldn't pull the freezer out in the first place so well done you - I'm too scared

I have remembered two Christmas Invitees who have no pressie so will have to get my poor head round that tomorrow.

BTW I can only thank randomly tonight

have a good rest of the day
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
