Hi Everyone! Haven't managed to post on here for a while, but I do try to read whenever possible. We fly out to Germany this evening with DGS and her Mum (DS sadly not well enough to come - long story) Curently I am till in dressing gown playing with DGS who adores our knitted crib figures. I want to shower and dress, but nowhere to put her safely until her Mum surfaces! Poor thing totally exhausted so glad I can help today. have done lots of ironing tho' so not quite panicking yet! few more small pressies to buy to take as we're being entertained by all DiL's family, packing -and off! My thanks to everyone for the fantastic support offered by all and ((HUGS)) all round.
    Merry Christmas!

Thanks tru - my chrissie present from you. Yes I had to find the tissues too. Exactly how it should be sung, with one of them off key.

    Morning all,

Called into work again  I have told him I can only work today/tomorrow until after Christmas now. Hopefully it will be better organised next week as it is the start of a new 'working week' as it were.

I have also made a decision - if I will regularly be working 12-8, then I will get up at 7.30, do my housework jobs and then can enjoy computer time guilt free in the evenings.

Oh and guess what???? I talked to OH about money last night and he understood!!!! He agrees we need to start budgeting, have personal spending limits etc - suggested lots of things (which i was going to suggest in the fullness of time), but I will let him think that they are his amazing ideas so that he will rise to the challenge :D :j

    Have a good one

5 days to go - it just seems to have flown by.

Well. I couldn't get either an asda or tesco delivery slot this side of christmas. Thankfully, I had done the main christmas shop at the beginning of the month and it was only for bits and pieces, so it's off to farmfoods in a minute.

:j There's been no more mouse activity since Sunday :j I'm hoping I've caught the last of them. I did feel bad on Sunday as I caught a baby one in the trap but it cant grow into a mommy now.

I've got to sort out wrapping as I really don't want to leave everything to the last minute.

We're off to the theatre later so dinner will be a takeaway tonight.

:grouphug: HUGS :grouphug: to all who need them.

    Have a good day all

Donny-Gal, Doncaster Council have a number on their website. They collect reusable things for free. I gave them a chair and a breadmaker last week. They pass them on to people in need. Sorry this is a bit short but I have an appointment at 11 so have to dash. HTH

    Morning all

Hugs to all those poorly ones - hope you're all feeling better for Christmas.

Been a really hectic few days here - My parents ruby wedding do went off well, was great to see everyone and it all felt quite christmassy. Tuesday evening we collected DD's from school and went to LaplandUk, after reading so many bad things about it we were expecting it to be dire but it was simply stunning - well worth the money and the effort to get there. The attention to detail was amazing, all the staff were polite and happy and their out of tune carol singing in the snow was hilarious. It really was a lovely evening out walking in the (fake) snow covered forest and then meeting the best Santa we've ever seen - he was really chatty and friendly and had the girls in stitches. Alot of parents there were complaining that "there was nothing to do"......listening to traditional tales in teepees, watching the huskies, meeting the reindeer, making ginger bread men with Mrs Claus and toys with the elves, posting letters from the Lapland postoffice and meeting Santa were obviously not high tech enough for them - some people have no imagination.....rant over ;)

DD's have broken up now and are having a pj day infront of the tv doing some christmassy craft whilst I play catch up with the housework.

Chicken pie for dinner tonight, will get DD's to make the pastry later and we'll probably make some sausage rolls too.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.
