Another dilemma. I've just remembered that my eldest is going on a school trip abroad in february-she needs her passport for january, I have forgot to send for it. It's all filled in ... apart from my passport number (not sure where my passport is -it's somewhere in the house -) can I send for her passport without my number being on it please? And what's the cheapest way of getting her photo signed for it?

In the new year as they've had to re-order they did offer the borrower but I turned it down as being the fussy cow I am I didn't know where it had been
Fortunately we were just sorting out when they called so we still had the old stuff in here but this is going to cost them they said about a discount but I couldn't pin them down to anything and in the showroom there is a nice leather reclining armchair which I can just picture my-self in just got to sort it when they let me know
just trying to get the decorations up now

Redruby - I didnt think of looking in there! I looked around in that section by the door but I wasnt really 'with it' They had lots of gammon in there though I had a look at that ( typical thinking of my stomach) Let me know if you see one and I will have to go back there, failing that I wonder if Argos do them?

    Good afternoon!:hello:
Not been around for a few days - had a nasty cold which refused to be staved off - a lot better now, thank goodness, but DH has a bad chest infection and is coughing away like a good 'un. He's got some antibiotics, but the Nurse Practititioner warned him they'll take about a week to work. I'm hoping he'll be feeling well enough tomorrow to drive me to the butcher's, as I know they'll be really busy after tomorrow with all the Christmas orders (including our turkey crown, which will be rather big but when we ordered it we had no idea how many of us would be eating it!):p

New DGC still not arrived, DD has now been booked in for induction on Christmas Eve! It should really have been Boxing Day, but they don't do inductions on Christmas Day or Boxing Day. At least she has a chance of being home for at least part of Christmas Day. We're hoping and praying it won't come to that, and that he or she will put in an appearance earlier. She has has a lot of sessions of painful contractions, but they haven't achieved anything.

We were going to visit MIL in hosp today - her operation was postponed until tomorrow - but as DH is in no fit state to go anywhere he has rung her instead, and we'll visit her when we're both better. I've been doing a sort of Mini-Store Cupboard/Freezer Challenge as he's ill - I did go to Asda with my "chic shopper" yesterday though and bought a few essentials, including spuds and eggs, and I even threw caution to the winds and bought TWO packets of butter!

Got to catch up on the last couple of days' threads so I'm off for now!

TTFN, and HUGS to everyone in need of one!

Nothing suitible in TP for triffle or salad, I thought I might pop over to BHS in Chi tomorrow to have a look.

I did buy a huge gammon joint for £6, I am going to cook it a la Nigella in coke.

Feel completely weary now, first time I have stopped since 6.45 this morning, going to have a hot bath later and an early night, last day at work tomorrow :T

Hugs to all those that need or want one xx

    Good evening everyone,

((HUGS)) to those feeling poorly, or who have poorly children/OHs!!!

Went for my weekly (at the mo) blood test this morning, found out that last week my level was 83, which is really good for me - i had been hoping for 90 something, but still pleased with that. I know it will be down this week, but im hoping for something in the 70s, so fingers crossed!!! If it stays quite good, my consultant says he will discharge me to my doctor, with an SOS on my file, so i can go up anytime i need to, but it will save me my trips up there, when all they do is ask how i am, i say fine and off i go again!!! I know they want to remove my spleen, but i they know im against it, so no point in me going!!!

Had one LO here today, normally he sleeps loads, but today he only had an hour - he was a little treasure all day tho, so not a problem, i expect his mum is getting the grumpy behaviour now tho!!!

About to go into Plymouth late night shopping, well, im not buying anything, but every year i get a friend to take my children shopping so they can get me something, so tonight is the night. We are going for a McDs for dinner, so no cooking tonight for me, which is good, just a shame its burgers, but never mind!!

OK, hope everyone has a lovely evening - i will be wondering aimlessly around the streets in the cold while i wait for my 2 to finish their christmas shopping, but it will make thm happy, so no worries!

    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Nicola Good Luck
Well thought it was all going too well shopping all finished yesterday stocking stuff wrapped
while we were in this morning a letter came from MIL soliciter to the effect that due to their mismanagment of OH's Nans will they wanted £1033 back from us as well as £488 in soliciters fees for claiming this:mad: and if we didnt pay by the 17th they would be taking us to the small claims court:eek: so have had to call our soliciter to say we are not prepared to pay for their stupidity and they need to leave us alone we thought that this was all done and dusted need to keep OH calm as this is not a good time of year for him and i am struggling to not become as bitter as MIL over all this
Good news though DS has had a good few weeks and since fighting back has not had any problems
    hugs to all

    Hi Guys!
Hope you've all had a good day! I have. Thoroughly cleaned the kitchen. Defrosted the freezer with my steam cleaner, amazing! and cleaned out the fridge, then pulled them both out.........YEUCH! Dead woodlice, something horrible spilled, I am a dirty cow!:rotfl: Still, it's all clean now.
Decided to clean the bathroom next, and paint the windowsill in there.........well, I ended up painting all of the woodwork (we've got painted pine cladding on the walls) When I'd done one bit, the next bit looked dirty, and before I knew it, i'd done the lot!:rotfl:

Just the hoovering to do tomorrow, Tesco is due between 9 and 11, and must remeber to get the meat out of the freezer, otherwise it won't be defrosted by Monday!

    Enjoy!
    I Believe in saving money!!!:T
