Very pleased with a 2lb loss this week! I was very nervous weighing in this morning as I've worked hard to keep to my calories and get my steps and yoga in. I managed two Couch25k sessions as well. If I hadn't lost anything I'd have had a tantrum lol!
Some of you were saying it's good to have a motivating event to aim for. Well, we've booked a sun holiday at the end of June! And I need to get into my holiday clothes. So that's my mission.
Well done for keeping at it, and @Brambling I hope you feel better soon. There's a few people I know caught Covid recently, so take care of yourselves x5 -

I've been trying to get my steps over a min 6,000 a day and am drinking water between meals. I'm surprised I've lost that much so far, but it has me thinking maybe I'm snacking when I'm actually just thirsty.
Going to take a tip from @Toonie and set some phone reminders to drink water.@irishseagull I've definitely noticed I haven't snacked as much since I set the reminders to drink. Most of the time my snacks are fruit which I guess gives me the liquid my body wants but even then it's still those extra calories. I already eat fruit at breakfast and lunchtime, so I'm not missing out in that respect.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3655 -
Hope you are feeling better Brambling. Sorry to hear you are in pain Suffolksue.
3lb loss for me - pleased to be off the mark. Another one here who needs to avoid alcohol - as others have said it's not just the calories at the time, it's the munchies next day and the fact I rarely feel like exercising the day after drinking so it's a triple whammy! Stayed off the beer last weekend, plan is to stay off it this weekend but will have a drink next weekend when I visit family.

Weekend check in for me - 0.5lb off this week. Slow going but still on the way down and I'm definitely feeling much better. The spring weather has really lifted my mood this month, shame its heading for a colder week.
However today the sun is shining and the sky is blue with no clouds in sight so I'm off to make the most of it.7 -
So far this month I've lost 2.5lb.
The NHS has caught up with me at last. I assumed the covid problem accounted for their lack of contacting me but it turns out I had dropped off the bottom of their system due to the installation of a new system. So in the last week I've had a BP consultation and a Echo Cardiogram. I think BP will be OK not not sure about the Echo as sometimes I'm quite short of breath but I have put it down to the the 32 haynets I make each day as the haylege can be quite dry due to it being cut in the heat of last year. and I tend to cough when doing them but I'll see what the Echo throws up. However, I think there could be a renewed enthusiasm of losing weight from now on!!!
my ref 0.05lb - soon to go into the next stone downwards7 -
-1lb at last!
a very difficult few weeks ,saw physio yesterday and now the (not) proud possessor of an nhs walking stick
apparently the worst thing I could have done was the mile walk around the meadows.
never thought a physio would tell me to do less of the exercises ! Must see GP for better pain relief and back to him in 3 weeks ,it could take up to 3 months to settle!8 -
Very pleased with a 1kg loss this week, especially as I’ve not been able to do much walking. I seem to be really struggling to get over the after effects of Covid 6 weeks ago. I get breathless walking up the smallest incline, but I’m improving day by day so hopefully can get my walking up again!
