Hi all, thank you for your continued support. I have now received a Notice of Allocation to The Small Claims Track (Hearing) with a court date set at my local court for later in the summer. I'm a little lost in the various threads so would appreciate you steering me in the right direction on suggested next steps. Thank you again.

Thank you Coupon-mad. To confirm, I will submit my evidence and witness statement. I am required to do this in about a month's time, with the court hearing about a month after that.

Could I ask — is there a rough point in that timeline when DCB/UKParking Control usually discontinue? And is there a point whether it will be clear whether or not they intend to bring the case to court?

Shortly before the date the WS and hearing fee is due.

Your notice of allocation should have your exact date for submission of "everything you want to rely on in the hearing"; sometimes it is a date but often "not less than 14 days before the hearing date".

Thank you, Le-Kirk. I have indeed been given an exact for submitting all documents which I will intend to rely on at the hearing. It is a few days before DCB are required to pay the trial fee.

Would it be advisable to submit my witness statement as soon as possible?

No.  They'll discontinue if you send it a few days early.
