Thanks, @KeithP — I did indeed review that, I was just wondering if anyone had insights on how common that pattern is as opposed to court cases proceeding.
What other option are you considering if it does go as far as a court hearing? Unlikely but remotely possible.

The other option would be settlement I suppose. But I understand that is not a desireable one.

    No need to do that!

All single-PCN cases brought by DCBLegal are discontinued when defended here.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hi there. I completed my directions questionnaire a few months ago now. Just wondering - is there a time limit after which the claimant cannot bring a case to County Court? I have searched for an answer to no avail. Thanks for your help in advance.

Yes, six years in England and Wales, but they have already brought your case to court.
  • Thanks for your answer — so to be clear, the claimant could bring the case at any time in the next six years? There is no time limit for the court case to be discontinued?

You only sent off your N180 at the end ofJuly.

We answer this question (about timing and delays) every day. Did you miss this reply I gave someone at noon today?

Please come back at WS stage prior to the hearing, almost certainly in 2024.

Hi there, just noting that I have received a letter notifying me that the case has been transferred to my local court.
