Today I am grateful for being able to shower at the gym, for a lovely coffee and chat with a friend, for Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated recordings, for a chilled evening, for my life.

Renewed my library books online (5 are ready to go, all were due back Monday) and checked that no deliveries were due. My ankle was a bit swollen so added 2 more pillows and the swelling went down. Did pills and food, had a wash. Strapped my ankle up and waited for about an hour as I didn't know if it was too tight.
It looked like it was going to rain so I went downstairs put my wellies on and brought some plant pots and containers in, my wooden kitchen chair and the coir compost (had to sit down in between). Rested for a long time then went out, swept bits of the path (sitting down), gathered up assorted rubbish and brought the bin back (used the old walker and came back sitting on the walker, scooting backwards and pulling the bin along (my neighbour was very impressed).
More resting, made a lovely meal - spinach, sliced leek, tomatoes, mushrooms and half each of a red, green and yellow pepper, a drizzle of low fat dressing and sliced up quiche (left the crust). I've also had 2 plums, an orange and a small piece of cheese, a spicy chicken and wholewheat pasta salad and have a head of celery and a pack of mange tout for snacks. Ate one ice cream cone. Packed all the salad bits to bring upstairs (supper/ middle of the night snack or breakfast)
I'm aching a lot so am back upstairs stretched out (with pillows for support). No money spent.
Grateful for getting some sweeping done (it's finally all dried out and I want to get it up before it rains again), finding a way to bring the bin back, picnic salads, good books, the bed and the couch.7 -

A bright & sunny day, though a cooler breeze. Didn't exercise, but instead I removed the oilcloth tablecloth & replaced it with one I'd bought at a jumble sale 5+ years ago. It's very pretty with wildflowers, herbs etc on it, but isn't as big as the previous cloth. It looks pretty though 😊
On my way to work I saw a Hare, then an injured Swan, so phoned the SSPCA. It had gone when I went home, so had been helped. A good day at work, my pupil didn't want to bag the bruck, so we went a walk to some trees & they swung on the rope swing & fishing buoy dangling from the trees. Got my online coursework done in the afternoon, so I'm up to date now.
Had an early tea, as I was going to a fundraising bingo at another school. Tidied some bits in my bedroom for an hour, until I heard what time I was meeting my friends. I didn't win on the bingo, but won 2 raffle prizes, one of which was an apron that I'd made & donated!! Took GF home once I got home myself.
Grateful for wildlife, pretty tulips in my garden, laughs with friends, being appreciated by my teacherUse it up, wear it out

Morning turtles!
Yesterday was NSD 7 I think. Tried to eat well after the bread binge earlier in the week, and ran 5k in the gym. Work was fairly productive for a Friday. Rejigging the budgets this morning and have taken fun money out of the cash point for this weekend.Treated bf to brekkie this morning and bought a brownie from this amazing Galician bakery. So that’s €10 gone. Booked some tickets to see the Alcazar and the Giralda in Seville, but that’s coming out of the travel budget.Grateful for it finally raining after weeks and weeks, for delicious food and feeling more or less in control of my budgetsStudent loan £5655

Morning all! All is calm here, but I need to wake people for pills soon and then it will all change. Currently eating an 0lio croissant and jam that was leftover from a hotel breakfast recently! Have picked up two huge bags of baked goods this morning and listed them, extended family and friends and regular collectors have already claimed several, so I feel like a job well done. Even the local birds seem to know it's collection day, and were queued up waiting for the scraps and watching through the window as I sorted the bags out earlier!
I have two jobs that need to be done by 1pm, or delay until Monday. My Monday is very busy so my target is to sort these out if I can, I have been prevaricating all week - think my emotional load has just been a bit overflowing! I also aim today to draft DDs financial aid statement for overseas uni. So a sorting out my life admin kinda day.
@Thrifty_Taylor what is bagging the bruck?

NSD No 11 today.
It's been productive. Changed bedding and it's all washed and dried on the line. It's really windy. Had a ruthless clear out and organisation of my wardrobe. Big bag of things for the charity shop and it looks so neat and tidy. Other than that I've been tidying, dusting and wiping as I go along. Amazing how much better things look. I shall get round to deep cleaning but after 5 months of minimum activity I shall take things gently.
The living room looks really peaceful. Lots of scented candles and three big vases of flowers.
Just had another of those amazing cakes!Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
Today was NSD 13, doing well this month! Woke up really early today so got started with batch cooking OH's lunches ready for next week, all done and cleaned up by 9am! Did some hoovering and cleaning, then popped to the shop for a plumbing part but they couldn't help me so saved a spend.
Went to a yoga and sound bath session for most of the afternoon - really enjoyed it - then popped to my sister's to give her OH a very delayed birthday card and voucher! OH is out tonight so I have the house to myself, tv and early night are in order.7 -
Today I am grateful for an early potter in the garden where I potted up our very spindly cmas tree (there's that word again!!!) and moved it to by the fence to make a smidge more privacy plus repotting the strawberry plants that had ended up all over the place, for finding a red tartan kilt style skirt for dc, for DH texting me the iPlayer log in so I could watch the women's rugby, for a baked potato for tea, for yesterday's accidental ingestion of barley not resulting in much more than a slight headache and feeling cold - I'd not had enough of it to get the whole food poisoning experience, phew!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Glad you got off (relatively) lightly apple - hope you feel better tomorrow!
Today am greatful for marigolds (other rubber gloves are available), an efficient washing machine, well stocked cleaning supplies, and a strong constitution....nuff said!
Also for comradeship and advice of BFF in this caring journey and a shared favourite supper enabling time for cuddles from niece and nephew, and for making marginal progress towards my giant list of life admin that requires prompt attention.
Found out I had paid the congestion charge for the wrong day (hence the penalty notice that I had not prioritised in all the recent chaos was not in fact wrong, and did in fact have to be paid), but greatful that the online system still seemed to think it was the original amount, and not the doubled amount that the letter threatened it would be by now. So just have to suck that one up I think, there are far worse things that might have occurred today but just about didn't!7
