Sorry your ankle let you down today GrandmaNerd, you got so much done beforehand. It sounds like you have a good sustenance plan for the next few days, I hope you have some entertainment too!
Long day today here. Spare room made ready for temporary lodger, lots of cleaning completed. They came for a trial night and seemed to fit into the household well. I enjoyed dinner with them all. Will see how everyone feels tomorrow but anticipate maybe they will move in early next week. Just taking it week by week as they search for work in a fairly niche profession, but here for a max of 3 months.
I need to make the most of spare room fees and have a look for autumn student placements. Have quite a long list of tasks for tomorrow and Saturday, and am back to work tomorrow too.
Zapped back and forth between the two households today, did about 90 miles I think.

Hi turtles!
Still on NSD 6. Sold a folding exercise bike on an app yesterday but that’s bf’s so he pockets €50 (I should get a commission 😂) managed to get through quite a busy work day and do my exercise class without too much complaining. Looking forward to more decluttering and budgeting this weekend (what have I become?) and some fun as well.
grateful for caring for myself enough to make sure I have healthy snacks for the work day, for it being friday, for upcoming trip to Seville next week (although weather will be roasting)

Great to hear about your volunteering @beanielou, I hope you make some new friends there too.
A baby robin would be awesome @grandmanerd, I hope it happens 🤞
I'm a fan of Dean Lennox Kelly too @grandmanerd. He was also in a series called Jamestown, I was so excited as another character was meeting a future wife off the boat, with the same name as me & Dean kept saying my name to him in a swooning voice 🤣 think I recorded it on my phone! 🤣😂🤣
The series I'm watching is called The Invisibles7 -
Good morning,
Spend day today. The cats needed their vaccine boosters - £220. I was told it would be £140, but that was apparently just the first one, there is another one in 4 weeks. I usually wouldn't have bothered but they are requirements for most catteries now. Arrgghh. And they both have tooth decay and one might need a dental at some point which can be £500 and of course is not covered by any pet insurance as it is natural tooth decay, he's only 3!! Feel like I failed as a mum like when you tell your kids to brush their teeth properly and they still get holes. Not that I can do much about the cats teeth...
On a more positive note, decluttered another 20 little items from the kitchen yesterday and got a £9 survey payout.

In a bid to get back to some kind of normality I've made a list of things that need doing. It's very, very long! Started off gently. Booked appointments for optician and hairdresser. Washing all done and dried on the line. Walked to the shops. Didn't really need anything but picked up some decent food bargains.
The Boy came to visit last night bearing gifts of a steak pie from a farm shop and cakes from a patisserie. That's the diet busted for this week! xxx
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
Baby robins are awesome @grandmanerd. They don't have red breasts like the adults, but are the same sort of shape and have speckled brown breasts instead. We see them visiting the garden most years. Not seen any so far this year though. A bit early I guess. Still so cold, too.

Evening turtles
I don't have much to report today, shopping came first thing and I've also done a bulk buy of some stuff the rabbits need too. Have seen my payslip and had a pleasant surprise of a small pay rise, can't knock that at the moment! Will still keep putting my name down for overtime as every little helps.8 -
Racking up the NSDs, had a lovely hour and a half in the pantry making sure everything was packed away safely in glass jars. Nobody puts anything away in this house😭 Much tidier now and a meal plan is written for the weekend I should only need a French stick or two 🥖 🥖 but I am still on a tight budget until Monday.
DH is away on holiday with his friends so I am the designated adult.
So far I have finally put my large poster of a Dalek into a big wooden frame(£5 c/s find) and it looks Fab. I think I know where to hang it.
