I cook daily with electric oven between 4-7 still save on Agile generally. That said,.Sam, Agile probably isn't for you given your posting history.5

Try AgileBuddy Tools tariff comparison and youll see what it would have been doing absolutely no shifting.
Last 6 months it averaged to 15p off peak and 30p between 16-19. And if you have same usage across the year that's what you'll pay per average.
There will be slots below zero and up to £1 which can help reduce your average - but you don't need to.
Saying that EDF Dynamic is probably easier to start with.
This is my last month and I hardly ever check the rates with certain habits in place - immersion heater set between 3-5:30am, washing and dishwasher preset to run at similar times and about half of dinners cooked before 4pm. A2A heating runs all day at 21°C with 18°C set between 16-19.

Make sure you are sitting down before looking at tomorrow's prices.2

Or just don't look, it should dissolve among monthly average 😎
8:30-9:30 and 12-16 more expensive than 18-19 😅1 -
I'm breathing a sigh of relief as I can avoid 06:30-19:00 tomorrow. I shall make the most of the early hours.0

My Mum asked if I qualify for a cold weather payment (which I knew but had forgotten) which definitely helps alleviate the alarm I initially felt upon seeing tomorrow's prices. Just as long as nobody has a shower during the day/evening, and we don't have a roast for dinner!
And in perspective, over the last month Agile has saved us £100+ over the SVT, so an expensive day in a cold snap isn't going to wipe that out, even alongside a few higher-than-average days.

I do wonder whether this might become more common in cold weather, with more heat pumps and HSHs switching to tariffs like cozy.Newbie_John said:Or just don't look, it should dissolve among monthly average 😎

You have to expect changes to usage patterns to affect the TOU rate distribution. But tomorrow's all day pain is not new. I can remember similar going back several years. Though I am surprised the peak is still well below £1.bob2302 said:

I like how my illogical mind can behave on days like thei - switch away, get a takeaway.. but for the last few days I've used 6kWh between 8-19, so instead of £1.20 I will pay £3.00 tomorrow, hardly noticeable especially during the month I've saved £60 😅0
