I just did a final 2 weeks (and a half or so) compare on Octopus compare and even during a historically poor period for Agile, it was still £6.50 cheaper than Flexible.0

The other side of being on Agile is the incentive, when prices go wild, to cut down usage, whereas with non-TOU tariffs you just motor along...3

Prior to moving to Agile, I had been on Tracker. My motivation for Agile was that it was the best of the HH tou tariffs and I had previously been on one of these for so long, prior to Tracker, that it hurt my brain to not think about putting on the dishwasher/ charging my car etc overnight.4.3kW PV, 3.6kW inverter. Octopus Agile import, gas Tracker. Zoe. Ripple x 3. Cheshire0

Looking at the rates late on in the day for Agile, I think I'll stick with E7 for a little longer just to see where it goes. It looks like the overnight rates into tomorrow for Agile may be more expensive tonight than my E7 rate. I've got full batteries to get us through today.Make £2025 in 2025

the formula for agile is
min(D x W + P, 95)
In this equation,
- D is a coefficient that includes our distribution costs, which varies based on where you are in Britain;
- W is the wholesale cost of electricity for that period in pence per kilowatt-hour (p/kWh);
- P is the peak-time premium, which ranges from 11 - 14 based on where you are, and is only applied between 4pm and 7pm.
- 95 is chosen to ensure the price is capped at 100p/kWh once VAT is added.
D is distribution costs, why are we charged a standing charge on top ?0 -

The cheap 7 hours weren't when I was expecting either so was charging the batteries in the day rate for 30 minutes a night. Been a bit of a disaster really! I've emailed and got no response. Might just try to go back to Agile if these rates continue over the next few days.
I've called and they've sorted it, backdating to the day after my call.Make £2025 in 2025
