Yes I did a load of washing last night as well on the suspicion that it wasn’t going to improve much! Chanced pegging it out too although with very little wind and no sun I suspect it may have done little drying. I’ll find out in an hour or so when I bring it in!

I do recall reading somewhere, probably on MSE, that if your patio is dry or drying, washing will dry on the line also.

Good rule of thumb, but at this time of year it can take more than a day.

Yes, I usually work on the basis that if the ground is dry it’s worth a punt at pegging out. Today the clothes definitely came in drier than they went out, so I’m taking that as a win.

The dishwasher is going on tonight regardless of rates not being the best - and I’m making a mental note that nothing wants to be on at 8.30 - 9 tomorrow morning - that slot is evil for that time of the day!

If thats true, and westerlies take hold again, then yes it means warmer, windier weather with rain.  Hopefully the MET is right, although it may only apply to the western and northern parts of the UK.

Octopus watch has been predicting a rise in wind towards the end of the week. Unfortunately it also predicts some fun prices to come before then...

I tend to be sceptical over anything other than short term, regional / local forecasts. Have you had much experience with the app you have published, and what was the source? Ah I've just read Octopus Watch
