The extended and invariable tea time peak and higher day time rate would count me out of that, you'd need a massive overnight load and very low daytime to make it worthwhile I thinkNewbie_John said:Just seen another TOU provider called 100Green or GreenEnergyUK and their prices at least for me are:
0-7 9p
16-20 49p (Monday - Friday)
32p rest of the time
Any takers? 😅

GEUK / 100Green are one of the three "deep green" energy suppliers. Their energy is eco-friendly enough that they're exempt from the Ofgem cap.Newbie_John said:Just seen another TOU provider called 100Green or GreenEnergyUK
I understand they've got decent customer service but they're not usually a low-cost option.

Yeah I think it's hard to justify it.. one would say that maybe with a battery you could make it work but I've seen somewhere that if you pay £5k for 10kWh battery then each kWh during first 10 years costs you at least 14p + cost of electricity purchased (cost of battery amortisation) so that would be 14+9 = 23p very close to standard rate.0

Can't decide if I'll stick the radiators on a timer when the prices drop below 8p tonight with it being fairly mild. 500kwh this month thanks to the 10? days of low rates
Probably will as it's been nice having the house toasty ☺️1 -
Just washing machine (and dry) dehumidifier and slow cooker overnight for us last night, but I’m liking the look of that -4.4 on the latest slot currently shown tonight - I’ll be keeping a close eye at tomorrows prices when they are released later!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
