Ah, that makes sense. I don't take a huge amount of notice of the monetary reading. As long as it is less than £2 at the end of the day (unless I'm charging the car) I'm happy.

Oh, so I was right. The odd thing is that sometimes the numbers come out right and other times not.

I joined Agile then moved to Tracker.  On the day I moved to Agile, my IHD tariff showed 16.32p.  It has stayed the same since.

Just checked my IHD, it says 13.28 pence. I'll check tomorrow to see if it is the same. That's well below the "ambient" for the past month or so.

The updating of the tariff data is I believe all a bit hit and miss. I am on Intelligent Octopus, my IHD shows a 7.5p rate all the time. Previously on 'GO' it correctly showed the rates at different time of the day.

Another property where I manage the bills is on Agile the IHD shows a continual negative price.

So my best advice is look at the IHD in Kilowatt mode as a means of understanding your usage and be assured that the actual bills Octopus send out and from my perspective have been correct and timely i.e. monthly.
