TSB Switch Offer

I have just completed a switch to TSB but don't have any DDs set up. If you read the wording on the TSB page about the offer it states the following:
To qualify for the £125 switch incentive, complete a full switch to a TSB Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account using the Current Account Switch Service, log into the TSB Mobile Banking App once, make at least one debit card payment and have two active Direct Debits by 24/03/2023
It says 'and have' two active DDs by the 24th March. That tells me they can be set up after the switch as the instructions advise to switch, log into the app, make a debit card payment, have the DDs set up. Surely this would still be eligible for the bonus???

Yes, as long as you set them up before the deadline.1

No, the terms explicitly state the switch MUST include two direct debits already set up on the donor account3

It's a while since I did this one but my understanding is that you have to have the 2 direct debits already set up on the account you're switching from and they must switch across to the new TSB account.2

Well if it is the case they must have been active beforehand TSB need to revise their wording a lot more carefully and I will try and dispute this if the bonus isn't rewarded...
I have switched in the past and it would usually read out you must complete the switch including 2 active direct debits, then log into the app, then deposit a certain amount.
This reads as if the DDs can be set up by the 24th March. Am I the only one that thinks this and am confused by it?

Am I the only one that thinks this and am confused by it?By 24 March 2023 you must do all of the following:2. complete a full switch to your new TSB Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account using the Current Account Switch Service• a full switch means you need to transfer all active credits and debits from your old account and close it. This must include a minimum of two active Direct Debits3. make a minimum of one payment using the debit card on your new Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account4. log into the TSB Mobile Banking App at least once5. have a minimum of 2 active Direct Debits on your new Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus accountIf you’ve done all these things we’ll pay £125 cashback into your new Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account by 21 April 2023.2 -
This was discussed a few weeks ago on the main thread, while my own switch was taking place. It was too late to stop the switch but I contacted TSB who advised they are accepting DDs being added to your TSB account AFTER the switch and before 24th. They have noted their acceptance of this on my account should the cashback not be paid and I was to contact them. Until the 24th comes, I will not know 100%, but it may be worth contacting TSB to check. If I could have cancelled the switch then I would have, then setup the donor account before initiating the switch again... anyway we'll see.2
