The Wilko wild bird food is available, but not the others mentioned.
* My town's Wilko was reopened as Poundland about a week ago. Although they were actively attempting to recruit (ex) Wilko staff they don't appear to have been successful.0 -

My Nan always used this for sweet flans and I have carried on.2 -
I miss the Sarah Lee Pecan danish i used to buy in Makro. Also the round tube length of hard liquorice that was stamped at the end.
Anyone know what happened to Pears transluscent soap, the two , one blue & one green that came in addition to the regular amber bar ?1 -
IIRC Wisp I've seen another Pears soap colour in somewhere like Savers/B+M. Can't remember if it was the blue or the green one but I think green...As I suspected, somebody has been adding soil to my garden. The plot thickens...0

Herrings one of my favorite meals.
We always looked forward to sometime in May or early June to having Herring in oatmeal with new season tatties, usually Ayrshire or Ulster along with spring cabbage. When that was on the menu we knew new season produce was on the way and could say bye to last years root vegetables or any fruit from last season which were all getting past their best by then.1 -

Kippers are smoked herrings. I get Young's brand with butter, from Iceland.
I used to buy rollmop herrings a lot, but won't now, even from Totally Swedish, ScandiKitchen or Europa Food. They all seem to contain rapeseed oil and preservatives now. I have switched to Latvian sprats and Icelandic cod liver 😊1
