Is one supposed to get any email/update about the switching process having been started? Started mine yesterday, however, there's no telling anywhere in the app/online banking about the progress or the fact that I've initiated it.

only updates about the switch are via text message and they can be hit and miss. did you enter a mobile number?

ah, the fact you already have access to your account must mean you're switching to an existing account? maybe you don't even get text updates then!

Still no £175 for me. Phoned Halifax to ask why, and I've been incorrectly rejected for the incentive as I did a switch into Lloyds last October (same group).   The call handler agreed this was wrong (the T&Cs say no previous incentive since April 2020 to either of the Halifax accounts - no reference to any account within the group) so has escalated it back up to the switch team to pay out.
