The thing is, her solicitor will have probably just explained (told) her what she NEEDS to do, from a legal PoV.
They probably won't hold her feet to the fire and MAKE her do anything. I doubt they'll be proactive, unless asked to be by their client (for a fee)
It may turn out that court action against her will be the only thing that will fire a rocket up her.
If she really wanted to get this sorted and was worried about legal action, surely she'd have got a wriggle on with distributing the estate by now.
Feet dragging is never a good sign in our experience around here, sadly. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)1 -

Ok. OH got an email yesterday with a few points of clarification to tie up but implying interim payments followed by final settlement. It looks ok ish just hub needs to make sure she can't come back afterwards with further claims. So he replied asking the few things he wants definitely clarified and hopefully its nearly sorted.13

This is potentially sounding promising. Fingers crossed for a favourable resolution soon.1
