Hi SHineyHappy ~ the leak was definetly just a pin hole or slight crack, so the meter wasnt whizzing. Still need to work out what we do about having or moving the outside tap. But at least we could isolate it and turn it off.
We do over pay the mortgage a couple of 200 a month, not masses, but every little helps and it is reducing the term which is very nice to see!! Must have been a really lovelt feeling to pay that last mortgage payment!

Pretty good on the savings account. I think I found a good instant access account with wise yesterday, 3.89% for instant savings. Maybe one to check out also, it’s the highest I’ve found so far.

The only reason why I know this as my dad is in love with this company. He uses them and he says there good accounts.

just a thought, obviously it may not be for everyone but it is still a decent rate never the less.

    Lovely sunny morning here,
I am determined to be grateful for what we have, bright sunny day and blue shy,  pooch suning himself on the bed, food in the house, a safe and cosy home and a savings that are heading in the right dircetion!!!
money saving today ~ i bought a multipack of sparkling water so I can make my own non alcohilic fruity drinks. I am trying to reduce alcohol intake, its not massive at all, but several nights a week a glass or 2 of red wine and it does creep up. So im going to make my own 'mocktails' (go me!!) fizzy water, lots of ice, raspberries, mint that sort of thing. Might have to ggole for more imspiration. the ice, raspberries and mint we have in abundance so no cost there!

I hope the school visit went well, did your DD like it?. It has been a lovely day, my cat has been very busy sunbathing in various sunny spots.

Money saving cocktails sounds like a great idea and an abundance of raspberries sounds like heaven to me!

morning, Thanks ShineyHappy The school visit actually went better than I expected.
Money saving today ~ we are going to buy meal deals today for our day out tomorrow which will be a treat, and much cheaper than eating out. Its a B/day treat to ComicCon in London. Definitely not a MS day but Im sure they will all have fun and Ill enjoy seeing them enjoying it all!!
Been looking at my budget again last night going through all outgoings and I realise I need to actually save for the annual expensives throughout the year. Very obvious I know but EVERY year its get to july and I have several hefty subscriptions and car ins that seem to fall together. It will still this year, but Im on it now for next year. Ive realised it does all take time to get it right!

Morning its A Saturday roundup this week. Yesterday was crazy busy with a trip to London to comic con. Much fun was had by all the children. The costumes we saw were utterly amazing.

    • Xmas 1p challenge now ~ £351.00 / £667.00. Coming along nicely
    • Health pot plus £10 this week
    • Car Maint plus £30 this week, ~ i have realised that this needs to be doubled at least to cover my costs throughout the year!
    • Pension Pot £15 added plus 100 from pot into pension.
    • Uni fund £5.00 ~ sold a sleeping bag
    • ISA £65 added this week.
    • 52 week cash envelop stuffing challenge started last week, this week managed £6 £7 £13  and £14
Was another good work week, but yesterday was expensive, so not much gained! Plus next week is another bank holiday so no clinic on monday.
Have a lovely sunny day folks

Glad the school visit went well.

The comic con must have been so much fun! I’m envious. Anything like that is always expensive but I’m sure it will have been very memorable.

You are so organised with your many pots!

I hope you enjoy the weekend
