Hi Shineyhappy, welcome to my diary! I am busy, but a lot of time is spent with my DD whos not in school so I have to be around a fair bit for her. We have managed to list 2 kits and 4 minifigs ~ there are another 4 or 5 to be listed and loads of mini figs but all the rest, annoyingly have a couple of pieces missing!I just want it all out of my lounge, its taken over our space and our spare time!!♥️ Your thoughts are incredibly powerful. Gosh what an afternoon! DH found a squishy bit of grass whilst mowing, that shouldn't have been squishly. So he removed the turf and and within 10 minutes a puddle had formed!!!! eek! Long story short, we have a leak!! eek!! Small, but definite and needs sorting out.Turns out we have a outside tap half way down the garden and we think its this pipe that must have a pin hole/ small split.DH found the outside stop !!!!!!, so its off and will see if the rather large hole dries up!! Fingers crossed it does!♥️ Your thoughts are incredibly powerful. Choose yours wisely ♥️ = Dr Joe Dispenza =🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2024🎖️🎖️🎖️🏅🏅🥇⭐🌸 DS2🏅🏅DD 🥇🌸⭐My rambling savings Diary ~⭐2

That sounds stressful. Is everything with the leak ok now? Might be worth keeping an eye on your water meter.Debt Free - done

Hi ShineyHappy ~ it was rather stressful on Sunday. but it seems to have stopped, so we are pretty sure it is the outside tap pipe that leaking. As we can isolate the outside tap it doesnt effect our water use in the house, thank goodness!Dh will explore further, prob at the weekend and work out a plan of action!♥️ Your thoughts are incredibly powerful. I had no idea these diaries even existed, I am well and truly down the rabbit hole reading them this morning .
A cash budgeting system always works well for me. I still take out several categories in cash every month as it helps to see what's going where for food/groceries and other household items. I have used envelopes in the past but these days I just put a post-it around the cash and clip it together with a bulldog clip. For groceries I separate the cash out into weekly amounts otherwise OH spends it willy-nilly and we end up with nothing left by mid month.
Having a regular saver account also works well for me. I recently had a regular saver with my bank and I knew I had to have the money to go into it every month which forces me to do it.

Money Saving today ~ Well last night, but I have opened up another bank acc and savings with Chase bank. I think collecting accounts might be becoming a bit of an addiction. I do like to see how each banks apps work!! Plus the chase savings has a 3% interest which is not bad for easy access. My tax pot money is in a savings account but the rate has been reduced to 1.3% cant remember what it was but I think 2.5% Not sure when they changed it, but a bit annoyed as I dont recall any info regarding a change.I am going to keep what was my main acc for my business and keep the chase for personal, it will help keep everything seperate. Should have done this years ago!! Oh well at least its being addressed now!FLowers x♥️ Your thoughts are incredibly powerful. I think it a shame that its not in a more prominent place. But I like having a saving diary, its defiently keeping my focused on my mission! I hope to at some point move to the MFW pages, We are overpaying that a regular amount too, but still a long way to go!I need to get more organised in paying my earnings in and then cashing out what I need for the week. Because im self employed i work on a weekly budget. The groceries money goes into joint account and that is used soley for food shops. But its never enough! and hasnt been increased in about 8 years, so with the price increases, we have to top it up. So that needs looking at.♥️ Your thoughts are incredibly powerful. Glad the leaking seems to be sorting, the only reason I mentioned it was we had an outside leak that we only knew about because the meter was going nuts.
Congratulations on another account!
I think the forum is more geared towards debt and mortgages that saving, FIRE and building wealth type stuff, which is a shame. I got a lot of inspiration from the MFW board when we cleared ours. The best advice I would give anyone trying to be mortgage free is just to make a start and no matter how much you over pay by, over pay something every month
