Car pot: £555 of £700 (first target)
Health pot: £170  Target is £500
    Pension: £65 this week
Pupster excess pot ~ £39.86 /£200 some round ups and TTs added here

    challenges:
£1 a day ~ £152/366 ~ i transfered 25 to the wrong account, but have left it there and added 6, so now I am done until May!
    1p 365 challenge (XMAS savings) ~ £280
52 week envelope stuffing ~ £32 added this week  ?/52 ??? not sure how many in total have been added
MMOP ~ nothing this week, but £17.70 cashed out from PA, so nearly have another one!

My tax saving pot has taken a hit of £492 as DS1 has decided on a course he want to study. DH has refused to help him finanically as he is still paying for the uni halls (which is 1000s!!!) :s and DS1 still hasnt got a job. He says he is still looking for a job and still aplying, but Im not seeing much evidence. He is at least on PA and earned enough money to my his train ticket to see GF,~ but not enough to get the return ticket !!!(rolls eyes) he needs to do more PA while he is up there! DS1 has been told that this moent is a loan. I am not particularly hopeful that I will see it again!

Been doing the hedge stuff in the garden AGAIN!! Another area of box hedging is being removed, flipping hard work! I am hoping to get this bit done this weekend, made a good start last night, but i think the weather is not meant to be great over the weekend, we shall see!

The retreat sounds fantastic and meditation is a great skill to master.

Can you get in with a care home, do a day every 2 weeks / monthly to capture appropriate residents?

I can't remember if DS1 applied for bens after leaving Uni, however he should as it will help cover some expenses and open up potential course funding too.

Savings and challenges are coming along nicely.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

    friday round up time,

So i need to change things round abit as Ive been cogitating!!!, i am changing my proirity from my mortgage OPs to my pension. i was getting all my extra pennies together to make more over payments to the mortgage and getting obsessed with trying to pay it down!! Its currently sitting at around £61000 DH makes the payment and a regular OP so it will be finished in about 7 years. So i think we will just sit with this and let it roll along.
My pension on the other hand is basically non existent, as Ive been self employed and rather part time, I didnt (stupidly) open up a pension until last year. So after thinking about it over the last week Ive decided to focus my efforts on bulding some sort of pension!!!
In my very ambitious dreams Im going to aim for 100,000 over 10 years. (which although is totally rubbish for a pension, it is a whole lot better than nothing!) So far, when I make a contribution HRMC adds 25%. Along as this continues I need to add 75,000 over the 10 years or about 144 a week.
I have no idea how I will endeavour to succeed in this especially as this week I only earned £220 and next weeks total will be £38!!! But it will be a good to aim for.
I also have my SandS ISA and this is also for the distant future, but there not very much in there at the moment
I defineltly need to pick up several more clients a week and also a few more for my healing work and I need to get the other side hustle up and running and hopefuly that will bring in some pennies to.
I think over the Easter weekend I will find the file with my flyer and get a load printed and go leaflet dropping which I did about 5 years ago when I first started home visits in this area.

    EF£2053.80 of £3000 (second target)
Car pot: £555 of £700 (first target)
    Health pot: £50
Pension: £200 paid across this week  (£144 weekly target)
Pupster excess pot ~ £44.17 /£200 some round ups and TTs added here

    challenges:
    £1 a day ~ £152/ £366
    1p 365 challenge (XMAS savings) ~ £295
52 week envelope stuffing ~ £1 added this week
MMOP ~ stopping this for now!

Hello.. The garden looks lovely! You seem to be doing well with savings. Is the pension you are now paying into the only provision you have at the moment apart from any future state pension. Best wishes.

Such beautiful pictures, I love it. I wish I had a green space like this.

I won't be a rich pensioner either, I'm just hoping to stay afloat and be able to afford the odd treat and a bit of travel now and then. I don't need a lot to be happy, but I'm hoping that the costs of things don't continue to go crazy. The majority of my working life I've been part time, so I've not paid much into my pension pots even though I've had occupational work pensions 😬.

hi Keedie, thank you for popping by to my little corner of the forum. I think of you often and follow your diary even though I dont post much. I think of your son and how well it sounds like hes doing. My daughter is fast approaching her exams. And from studying at the Home ed centre she will actually have a chance to take some and hopefully go to college. I have everything crossed for that it doesnt fall apart as the pressure builds!!
I dont think my needs will be massive either, Im not a bigger spender. However, I know I would like to travel at least a bit!! I will probably stop my main job and retire from that (when the time comes) but carry on with my art and my healing work to bring some pennies in and stop me from getting too bored!
