Dentist was a diaster, filling didnt happen, anxiety too high. Then even more upset when we left because it hadnt happened and will have to go back! Further apps are now booked for after the exams season. Not been very money saving, took DD to Lydol on route back from dentist and sat in carpark until she calmed down and then went in and bought a tiny pot plant, sushi, tissues and a choc doughnut. All helped!!!! NOw just been to MrSs to get bits for tea ~ stir fry bits they sauce we use is gluten free and only seems to be sold in here, plus we needed a lot of GF bits and it came to £34 !!! ho hum!DH told me that his work place are up the pension contributions by 2% from April which is rather good news and he is very happy about that.♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

La plan today is lots of work. I dont have to drvie DD anywhere today so that is a bonus. DS1 is visiting the GF and DS2 might be going on a bike ride.I need a few NSDs as I seem to be in a bit of a spending run of things. I do need to pick up a prescription and an order, but that is already paid for.Gratefuls ~The sun is shiningI dont have to go to work until 10.30The doggo is having a lovely sleep whilst snuggled up to me x♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Bucket listI know this is my savings diary, but i popped on the bucket list thread and found mysefl thinking about what I would like to acheive before I leave this plane of existance. Ill pop my list here mostly for me so I dont forget!!!Ive never really had a 'bucket list'. But i know i want to go to a special meditation retreat in Cancun ~ but thats currently out of my reach. And mulling it over ~I would like to explore the highlands and islandsVisit my brother in PortugalI would like learn a language, probaly Spanish, is its one I started when I lived there, but didnt get that farI would like to learn to paint much more proficently in oils and have a proper solo exhibtion (this will be a long time coming as I'm not painting anything at all at the moment!!)I would like to do some volunteering over here and aboard when I have a bit more free timeI would love to visit Iceland and see the northern lights (not so much the erupting volcano ~ although that would also be incredible!)Im sure theres more♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

I know our clients are within the same age range and this idea may not be affordable to them.
Can you ask for part-payment in advance, to whatever is the max out of your no-show / cancellation policy?
The unavoidable's would have it carried forward to their rebooked appointment, the others have to pay again when booking? Saves you producing invoices / chasing for payment.
I'm also not sure if this is viable, but if you have or will be putting your prices up, send a reminder text, email or call them the day before. Perhaps rope in an "assistant" to do the calls for a tiny bit of pocket money, maybe 50p for each one?
Turning to your bucket list, with the right timing two could be done at the same time. Northern Lights can be seen from the Highlands due to clear skies and a higher level.
For your birthday ask for beginners CD / book, even a kiddies one. Listen to it while in the bath, gardening etc and you'll begin to pick it up. Once confident you know all of that, ask for the next level.

Thanks MF, your idea is a good one, but i think it would put a lot of people off and I would have to be really on the ball with whose paid how much and when and how much is deposit etc. I think I prefer the idea of a reminder call the day before. Except that means texting / ringing everyone on a sunday as my main day is a Monday. Some don't have a mobile. And once I start with reminder calls I will have to remember myself to do them every week forever as they would soon come to rely on it. I will ponder in it some more!Bucket list will sit happily, and probably grow whilst I go about daily life, not needing to get anything ticked off in a hurry. I am going nowhere!!! But I could start the Spanish i guess, haha! Ill let you know when I do!!!!!!! And maybe the volunteering once we get into Autumn and hopefully DD will be at college.♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Managed 5 hours in the garden today
and it doesnt'really look like that much work, but moving the mound of soil, is hard work! I recking it was at least 30 wheel barrows, and now I am aching!!
Planted 4 small laurels, that i bought about 2 years ago, there's not looking great, but hopefully now they are finally in the ground they will recover!
