Love the garden pictures! Beautiful You've so many strawberries! How do you stop blackbirds/ slugs attacking?

We dont get very many to be honest!!, But i will net them when I see the fruits beginning to grow, we have to do the same with the currants and goosgogs!

Thanks SYA, it is a gorgeous garden, but takes an awful lot of time!!

spent a bit of time in the garden, trying to remove the bindweed from the strawb patch and then weeded the raspberry bed (one of them, we have 3 and Im thinking of making a 4th!! raspberries seem to do really well here and we love them, I just need to get on top of the weeds and put down a mulch. ~ but not today, bit too achey!!!

Planning on a mooch around the garden centre this afternoon and not much else!

morning, I havent done any PA studies this week and a nice £15 one just landed ~ yey that will boost the pension pot this week!

No of course not, but i had intened to buy!! £60 mind! i got a bg of vermiculite/ toms plants/cucumbers/ courgette and 4 packets of seeds and 3 bags of compost (£24.00!!!!) All the plants seemed so expensive, so it was just the veggie stuff as Im very late with my toms and cucs.

I went out to the greenhouse this morning to get them planted up and was met with the disugting mess I had left it in last Autumn. And unfortunately a bramble has grown in and it was smothered in fly. So this meant a full clear up and clean out of everything pretty much!!

took me over 3 hours, but its all tidy now, plants planted (but not the seeds). three quarters of the plant pots bagged up to take to the tip.

Also, Went up to the tip twice taking the box hedge trunks and the old chain fence which has been taken out. We have to book a tip trip here but the mvery nice man said we could pop back another the second load.
