  • Thanks Flowers and Doris ☺️

Will be no more cream teas for a while as I need to get hba1c back down 😉

Cold day today so heating is on again. Went to aldee spent £27.80. Will be making Moroccan lamb in the slow cooker tomorrow.

Should have enough petrol to last until “payday”. Still have £15 in my purse. Saw my friend this afternoon and we are going out to lunch Friday so that should cover it.

Popped in to see DF for a cuppa and spent £14.95 from diy fund to sort out chimney breast in dining area.

Whitby weekend sounds like my kind of weekend.
You've been great with staying on track with blood sugar. I'm sure it will be fine.
The man sounds yum. What will you serve it with?

  • Thanks dia. Levels have gone up but still in the good glucose control range. Am going to make some changes again and ask them to test every 3 months to keep me on track. Would rather be in the very good range.

Lamb, red pepper, courgette and butternut squash in slow cooker with moroccan sauce served with broccoli.

I have got some konjac noodles from b n m £1 so will give them a go and make a stir fry tomorrow. Will just use a few to start with & hopefully no digestive side effects.

Dry but cloudy today, washing dried on the line. Have finished one book & started another. DF has fixed my back door and sorted the chimney breast. Tomorrow if it is dry & warm enough we are going to do some gardening.

Break sounded fantastic, especially having the fish and chips.

Let us know how the Moroccan meal turns out.

You're doing so well with budgeting and a far cry from thinking PT work would be needed.

You are wise to want to stay in the very good range and get more regular tests. I had blood glucose test and was told I was fine, but checking I had gone up and was too near the top of the range to be happy. I think I will ask for regular Hb1ac tests too as currently only having blood glucose and they are less telling.

Let us know how you get on with konjac noodles. Something I've been meaning to try...

  • Thanks MF, dia and SQS. Moroccan lamb was yummy 😋 2 portions in the freezer.

I’ve decided to leave the konjac noodles until the weekend as I’m going out for lunch tomorrow I don’t want to risk a dodgy tum.

DF came round this morning with his chainsaw and chopped out the dead leylandii. Small bits put in green bin and dragged it to front for collection tomorrow. The rest will be bagged up and taken to the tip next week. Then it started raining. Niece came round so had lots of baby cuddles 🥰 Then popped to friends for cuppa and chat with her & her sister.

Not sure if I will go to aquafit tomorrow. It’s been so cold & I have been feeling grotty. Dinner tonight will be roasted butternut squash, mushrooms, onions, yellow pepper & garlic with tomato purée, kidney beans, herbs & melted cheese & chilli flakes.

Just looked up the noodles and understand why you're waiting to try them.

Is there no end to what DF can do 😮

DF is a real gem 💎 MF 😊

Cold and rainy today with sunny spells. Woke around 6am but managed to drop back off to sleep and didn’t wake until 9am. Made myself get up and went to aquafit. Thankfully it was warm today. Have been sent a survey to complete and have complained about the cold. A few of the other ladies have done too so hopefully they might take some notice and do something about it!

Home and the sun was out so I decided to walk to friends house. Friend insisted on paying for lunch & I paid for drinks £5. Walked home from her house in the rain and it was freezing. Feeling tired now. Heating is on again.
