Lovely sunny day today. Got the bus £4 and lunch was fish & chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and 2 cups of tea each total cost £15. 😋Spent an hour trying to get my money out of the one year bond. 😡 Had to really insist they transferred the money to my other bank current account and had to show them the instructions in the book they sent me. Finally got to speak to 3rd person who sorted it.Money now in my current account but my bank cannot see the new V money account for 24 hours so I will have to go to my local branch after aqua fit tomorrow and transfer the money. Such a faff. Hope I don’t get this same problem next year when my 2 year bond matures!Good news is that the interest on my 1 year bond is £751.88! This should pay for the rest of this years diy jobs including a new kitchen floor, decorating kitchen walls & wallpaper spare room, new curtains in kitchen/ diner and new carpets for stairs and spare room 😁0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Did you not have the bond set to automatically transfer to one of your other accounts? Have a look at your 2y and see if that option is available.
Great use of the interest!
Not sure if your bus company do it, but it may be possible to buy a few days tickets and you scratch the day / month off when you want to use them. Saved having to keep hold of change.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Another thing that n wide failed to do when they opened the bonds and now they tell me it’s too late.I rarely use the bus but when I do I can use contactless debit card to pay.Grey and damp out there today. Just about to go to aquafit. I will pick some cakes up after aquafit and the bank. Off to my friend’s for a cuppa later0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Hope you get your savings sorted out today SYA , never ceases to amaze me that it's quick enough to pay it in but a different story getting it out . What was meant to be a 30 day process for me recently transferring a s & s isa to fixed rate isa actually took them 90 days due to errors ..had a few sleepless nights over that ! Good that you got a healthy interest tho to put towards some nice house things x

Thanks @thriftylynny I hope you made a complaint! The b society made a mess of opening my bonds so I wasn’t really surprised when they made a hash of closing it too! I complained after the account was finally opened a year ago and they gave me £100 compensation for the anxiety and stress caused.Aquafit was freezing so I didn’t stop to the end. 10 min drive to little local town centre with car heater on full and then sat in greggs to warm up with a hot pasty and cup of tea to warm up. £3.60
Into the bank & they sorted the transfer of funds.Bought cakes £3.30 and a few things in B n M £3.30. Off to my friend’s with the cake for a cuppa this afternoon. The money has transferred and is showing online in my new v money account 😊0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Glad you are getting all sorted SYA - if you were with 🐙 and decided to get your smart meter you can get a weekly regular sized hot drink at Gr@ggs for free. Not sure that’s enough incentive to get a smart meter but it’s nice for free 😊Lancashire

Thanks SQS. Glad you are enjoying a free drink. Not sure if it’s enough for me to change provider and get a smart meter at the moment.
Today was cloudy but warm this morning. Went to aldee total spend £40.09. Also put £10 petrol in the car. Should only need another £40 for shopping and £10 petrol before the end of Feb. Left in current account £228.76. Haven’t spent much from the entertainment fund this month & there was £62 left in the budget. I might put anything leftover into my holiday pot. There will be another £100 to put in next month with no council tax so that should be enough for a couple of visits down south this year to visit DS & gf and my friends.Washed towels & hung out but it started raining so now hung on airers. Going out with DF tomorrow to buy flooring for my kitchen. Will put a stew in the slow cooker in the morning before we go. Naughty sweet chilli pizza for dinner tonight £1.39. 😋 Still managing to avoid takeaways 😇0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Happy floor shopping day.
Love a bowl of stew on a cold wet day, reminds me of childhood, served with thick cut bread and butter.
