    Ooh exciting new dishwasher purchasing!!

Why is the 2 setting so much more expensive than the 6 place setting?

I used to love my little slimline dishwasher at our old place - it was perfect for the two of us but the big one we have now gets smelly even tho I rinse dishes etc prior to popping them inside. It must be because we only run it every 3-4 days.

🤞🏻 for the elusive 4 place setting dishwasher!

  • My curtains have arrived Time2count and the courier left them with my neighbour. They look nice in the pack 😆 I will get DF to help me to unpack them and hold them up to the light to check them before I start hanging them.
If they are ok I will order a curtain pole.

Had a lovely afternoon with family and lovely baby cuddles 🥰

Popped into asd@ living on way back (not my usual little one) and got new plates for the dishwasher I have chosen. My current plates are too big. The new ones were £1.25 each so I got 8 for £10.

SQS I think the smaller the dishwasher, the smaller and more expensive to make. I have gone with the 6 place setting.

It rained most of yesterday so no washing done. Supposed to be dry today so will hopefully get some washing done and dried outside. It’s still dark at the moment. I have been chopping veg for my stew later. Just the meat & leeks to cut up.

My sister is going home this morning. Popping down the village to my friends house this afternoon for cuppa and chat 😊

You're getting off to a good start for the New Year.

Glad to hear the water was warmer.

Crafting is a great hobby, perhaps have a look see if there's any local groups to attend.

    Thanks MF and SQS.

Sunny day yesterday but no wind. Hung washing out but it didn’t dry so finished it off in the evening on the airer.

Went into local town to pay Christmas present money into bank. Bought 2 birthday cards 99p & £1.29. They had 75% off remaining Christmas stock so I bought 2 boxes of cards 2x25p, 8m roll of Christmas wrapping paper 32p & 2 x gift bags 25p each. Total spend £3.60 will come from Christmas/birthday pot. Was pleased with my haul as I thought all the Christmas stuff would have gone by now. Have put it all away for December

Heating was off all day as DF was in and out the back door fixing my click together (heavy duty plastic) shed which blew over in the gales before Christmas. He has now bolted it into the slabs underneath. It was left behind by the previous owners together with garden tools and a hose on a reel so nothing lost apart from the broken latch for the lock. DF has said he will find something suitable to replace it so it can be locked again.

Stew made in slow cooker. 3 portions into freezer. Went to my friends for a cuppa and chat 😊

Off to aquafit this morning. Will pick up a hot roast chicken on the way home & milk. DF is coming round later to help me check out the new curtains. The pole I like is still out of stock. There is a similar one elsewhere but not as nice so I may wait a while.

Dishwasher has been ordered and should be free delivery on Monday 😊

  • Good decision on the tabletop dishwasher SYA,  I took a look at them & they look nifty little things but absolutely  no space on my worktop ! I actually have a proper dishwasher plug point to fit a slimline under sink , would need an integrated door front (discontinued ) ...ended up looking at full new kitchens. ..sadly dish pan hands will continue !!!
You need that warm pool water this morning far too chilly to be lukey warm !!
Not many Xmas bargains my way only easter eggs ...I'm always far too late & I really wanted the after Xmas veg at 15p ..none left !!

Thanks MF, thriftylynny and SQS. 😊

DF likes to keep busy but doesn’t like the cold so I was lucky it was warm in the sun for him yesterday. He brought his 80+ yo neighbour with him to give him a hand lifting the shed up 😄 It’s embarrassing when two 80+ year olds are fitter than you are at 55 yo 😆

The pool was warm for aquafit today. Picked up a cooked chicken plus tea bags on offer £2, milk, pork and leek sausages reduced from £3.25 to £1.69 and beef lasagna ready meal rtc £1.32 down from £3. The oven is on cooking the sausages which will be frozen once cooled and gluten free garlic bread left from when DS & gf were here. I will have some garlic bread with the lasagna for dinner & use the rest of it with soup tomorrow.

Have paid my credit card from various pots & ordered a curtain pole to be collected next week from arg0s £20. DF checked curtains with me this afternoon and they look good.

Day of rest tomorrow ☺️ No need to worry about garlic breath !!
