Nice dog walk this morning a bit earlier and it was cool and the grass was wet with dew. Two loads of washing on the line before going out.

Had a lovely day with friends in coastal town nearby. Nice lunch £22.50, chat and lots of laughter. Checked out a few charity shops and bought a weird fish fleece in the local hospice shop £16 (new £45 - £80)

Called off at Mr L on the way home for milk, apples and a tin of soup £3.78. I had a ham sandwich & half a tin of soup after tonight’s dog walk. I am out tomorrow for lunch with two of the first friends I made down here 38 years ago. No plans yet for next week.

Week 3 of my holiday. ☺️

Am having a lovely catch up with lots of friends including Sunday lunch with 2 friends, also tea & cake on the seafront on Monday with my friend who lives round the corner. Today I have been resting apart from 2 dog walks and tomorrow I am going to try and finish DS’s gardening. I have offered to do a tip run with my friend who lives round the corner on Thursday as she doesn’t have a car and then onto marina outlet for lunch. Friday I am out for shopping and lunch with my old friends from Sunday. I am going to have to go on a diet when I get home!

Sadly I have not been able to meet up with my friend who’s daughter has terminal cancer and is currently very sick after having chemo and another friend I met at adult college here who is away on holiday but I will hopefully catch up next time. I keep in touch with all my friends here via whats app.

When I was first looking for a house here I had an offer accepted on a lovely property but sadly the owner had a stroke and the house was removed from the market. (All on my previous diary). While looking at houses for sale online this week, out of interest in the property market here at the moment not looking to move, I noticed it is up for sale again £20k cheaper than I was buying it for 😳 I hope he has recovered and is well enough to sell up and go and live with his daughter as he told me he had planned. If I had stayed I would have had to continue working and my lovely dad said he would come down and help me decorate. Who knows how our life changes path and what could’ve happened differently

Sya, i think we've all thought about what ifs..... looking back, do you feel the decision to stop working was the right one without a doubt?

I wasn’t doubting my decision just commenting about how the choices we make send us on a different path. Did anyone ever see the film Sliding Doors? I think that was my sliding doors moment.

It has suddenly turned very autumnal. Set off sunny and blue skies but grey and windy this afternoon. Had lunch with friends and a mooch round the shops near the sea. Tomorrow buses are free so I’m going out for a few hours with my local friend after dog walk 1. Will be back for a rest before dog walk 2. Then DS & gf will be back and it will be time for me to go home.

I think it is something to be proud of - making a move that will change your life for the better. So many of us stay on the grey treadmill of life - speaking from personal experience.

The pups will miss you SYA xx enjoy your friend meet. I’m sure your DS & gf will be so grateful for all you have done for them xx
