Escape to the country & living off savings

It’s not the queries that are the problem it’s the game playing. Buyer saying one thing to EA and complete opposite to solicitor. Have not heard anything for 2 weeks despite answering all questions after searches & surveys weeks ago. Perhaps others think this is acceptable. Just want it all to be over.
Tried to keep busy today. Hoovered downstairs. Car boot load to tip. 2 loads of washing done in new machine & dried outside in gusty winds between showers. Registered new machine for guarantee just trying to decide whether to extend the warranty from 2 years to 5 years for £89

Sya, there's not much i consider worth insuring these days but washing machines seem to be uniquely prone to breaking down. £ 30 a year seems reasonable to me for piece of mind but check what it offers, ie some exclude parts

I wouldn't normally insure anything that already has a warranty. But that seems a very reasonable price if it covers what you need. I have found that mostly machines break down in the first year if they are going to break down at all. But washing machines seem to last longer if they are on solid floors, so that is worth taking into consideration.

Thanks Tresinia and badmemory I have 28 days from date purchased to decide.
I am still trying to get my head around the clocks going forward an hour. My brain thinks it’s too early to sleep 🤯 I have tried as I need to be up at 7am to go to the hospital for another blood test.
I am going to pay myself tomorrow and go food shopping a few days early so I can do some batch cooking. Also need some gift bags for my friend and her OH’s easter gifts.

Have had a lovely few days with my sister and family. The weather has been kind. We managed to get out walking plus some meals out and a bit of retail therapy. All paid from budget and savings pots
Have been invited to my friends for dinner on Sunday which I am looking forward to. I also bought a leg of lamb on easter offer £12.50 plus some cheap veg (2 broccoli, swede, carrots, parsnips) so I will cook a roast and freeze leftovers in portions, plus spicy carrot & parsnip soup.
My cousin & his wife are coming over today to help with electrics in dads shed. My weather app shows a heat wave coming next week up to 20 degrees ☀️

My cousin came over yesterday and removed the last built in electrical stuff from dad’s shed. Just a box of various chemicals & lawnmower to remove.
Had a lovely lunch at my friends today 😋 Took their easter gift bags (chocs & booze) and bunch of flowers for my friend. Received daffys, chocs & card.
Plans for tomorrow are to make space in my shed for dad’s lawnmower & empty the last remaining items from dads shed.
