I saw that bond rate - there was another good rate from I think ‘Birmingham bank’ but it was an online account - I checked it out for myself but they don’t let yankees have a look in - even though I have lived over here more than 30 years! 😤😤 Because of the dual tax residency that i get lumbered with - it’s hard to even find a bank account sometimes these days!!Lancashire

Is it possible to open the bond with a token £10 and then put the rest it when the other one matures?
I think a lot of them allow deposits for the first 30 days after opening.
Nice bit of interest there for you though SYA, well done 😀3 -
Lol Suze I had a look at their trust pilot reviews… you are not missing anything! Thanks Time2count I didn’t think of that. It says online that money can only be deposited until 28 Feb so I think I will contact them & get one open0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Had to drive to the hospital this morning to collect a paper copy of my amended gastroscopy report then drive it to the doctor so they can prescribe the new recommended medication. 😡The hospital send a paper copy to the main hospital who then post it to the gp second class! So much for modern technology!😤
Feel a bit headachy and so am now resting with my feet up. I have put a fish stew in my slow cooker and am going to my friends for a cuppa this afternoon. I will leave shopping until tomorrow.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Had a walk to my friends this afternoon & was good to get some fresh air. We are going to done elm tomorrow and will have a bit of lunch while out.Called into DF on the way home & we are going into town on the bus on Thursday. Bus fares are now £3 each way but DF has his free bus pass and said he will pay for fish & chips for lunch 😋 Chippy near the market has been owned by the same family since I was young and they are yummy. I will also call into Leeds bs & open a 2 yr bond. I believe it’s a minimum of £100 to open. I have £1771.87 in my instant access savings account so that’s 2 x £833 for feb & March leaving £105.87 (interest not already spent/ moved), so I will use £100 of that.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks Time2count 😊 Have had a nice day out with my friend. Pottered round done elm & bought 4 cushion inserts for living room as current ones are years old & flat 😆 £12 and wash basket £22 (from household bills pot) then had brunch. I had bacon, sausage, omelette, few baked beans & pot of tea (2cups) £8.10 from entertainment fund.Called into liddle on the way home for friend to get some shopping so I picked up some milk, small gammon & low carb / no added sugar bread, then back here for cuppa. Friend has just left so dishwasher on, cushions restuffed & feet up.Remaining in current account £106.88. Out tomorrow with DF. £6 for bus fare. Gammon will be put in slow cooker for meals with cauli cheese, wraps or with eggs for breakfast. I will pop in mr S in town tomorrow (only supermarket in the town centre) for some more fruit & salad and I will get some cubed beef & make a stew over the weekend. Should have got them today but I wasn’t thinking about food! Fridge is full of veg 😆 Should only need shopping next week £40 and petrol £10.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Morning all. 😊 Hope everyone is safe in this storm. Not too bad here, sun is shining, so I have a load of towels, joggers, thick fleece pj’s nearly finished in the machine and I am going to hang them out with lots of pegs 🫣😆 Hopefully I won’t be going round the neighbourhood collecting them later!Yesterday I opened my leeds bond and DF bought us fish and chips in town. I have to go back on 10th Feb, the day after my bond matures. DF said he would come with me and it will by my turn to pay.I was shocked by the amount of beggars around the town centre and one guy was quite intimidating coming up to us asking for money as we left the bank, saying he was hungry and homeless. I’m glad DF was with me as that is in a fairly quiet side street. If it had been the Main Street I would’ve bought him some food and a hot drink but I don’t give out money.Stew in my slow cooker today. I have broccoli and cauli to steam & freeze. Hopefully a walk down to my friends for a cuppa this afternoon.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

According to the bloke who sits outside my local Aldi they are not allowed to accost you. I do wonder if the ones who do are the ones that are addicts of one sort or another.

I felt guilty afterwards for not getting him some food 🤷♀️ but he did scare me coming up to us as we exited the bank. I thought he was going to mug us.
Anyway, walked to my friends and had a nice chat and cuppa. Then walked up the hill to the chemist to collect my meds and home again. Stew smelling lovely as I came back in. My washing has dried on the line and with multiple pegs it didn’t take off down the street 😆 It’s supposed to be similar weather tomorrow but a bit less windy so I should be able to get jumpers and jeans washed & hopefully dry on the line. No other plans for the weekend.Monday I need to go to local shops and get a birthday card for my friend & then call at aldee. Tuesday I am taking her out for lunch as a gift.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
