Thank you, I've seen that around so I'll give it a try. Enjoy your meal."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Enjoyed spending time with my friend and her family for dinner last night. Food was delicious but not what I would normally eat but I don’t want to sound ungrateful. High carb and sugar and a glass of wine. I could have gone without the wine & pudding but I enjoyed it 😋
DF has just brought me a load of onions and butternut squash from his allotment. Stayed for a cuppa.Today is very grey but still warm. 19.5 degrees indoors according to my portable thermostat, but it’s forecast to drop to 14 degrees tomorrow & heavy rain. I’ve spent this morning ironing the folds & creases out of one of the curtains for my kitchen diner and it is now hung up. Have got back ache now so I will do the other later or tomorrow. They are thermal lined so hopefully will help keep the cold out.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Yes the weather seems to be heading downwards again next week, although will give you a chance to check the curtains are doing their job!
Pleased to hear you're back in the swing of things at home again and keeping up with your regular activities and meet ups etc. I always find that keeping the routine going helps me when there's stuff going on in my life.
Have a good week!2 -
Thanks Time2count 😊
I feel very torn at the moment between my “old” life and my “new” one. It’s my friends birthday today and I sent her a card to let her know I am thinking about her and her daughter. I’m not sure I could do much more if I was still there but I am just trying to carry on here while giving her all the love and support I can from a distance. We have been exchanging messages today.I do feel a bit like I am on autopilot but I know she is going through much worse. I do find posting about my routine helps so I will carry on. The support from yourself and others on here really helps too.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

One of the biggest upsides to modern technology is the ability to 'be' with people when you can't physically be there (also a major downside in other circumstances granted).
Messaging, calling, sending cards can all be done while you carry on with your 'new' life and you also have the advantage that the people in your new life are able to support you emotionally without it getting complicated and messy (I'm assuming they do not know your old friend). Like you say, other than hugs, you can provide your friend with just as much support from home as you could if you were with her in person.
I imagine the auto pilot feeling may be because you're still in shock at it all. I'm pleased posting is helping you. I remember last year and you were contemplating giving up/ reducing your posting. I'm pleased you didn't as although I don't post often myself, I do enjoy reading your diary.3 -
Sending hugs to you skint-yet-again. Your friends know you are there for her and that is a lovely feeling. Take care of yourself.

Thank you all for your kind messages 🥰
Its grey and wet here today but luckily we seem to have missed most of the rain. Temperature only down to 19 degrees according to my thermostat so we haven’t had the big drop in temperature yet.My back was feeling better until I ironed the second curtain 😆 It’s now hung up so I can close them in the evenings now. Just going to relax and read for a while.Aquafit tomorrow and then I am going to meet up with my niece and baby for some retail therapy and a bit of lunch. Am looking forward to baby cuddles 😊0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Aquafit this morning and the pool was warm again. Perhaps they have fixed the heating or put 50p in the meter 😂
I was going to meet my niece at one of the out of town shopping centres but the road was closed due to an accident so we went to a different one nearer the pool. Was lovely to see her and the baby 🥰. I treated us to lunch & a drink in asd@ cafe. Bought a new tin opener £3 and 2 multi packs of pork scratching £2.50. Popped into aldee on the way home and spent £24.68 including fruit & veg, cheese, cereal, eggs, gammon joint and pork loin steaks. I will cook the gammon in the slow cooker for multiple meals and make slow cooked somerset pork casserole with the chops.Current account remaining £8.62 plus £28 cash in my purse. DF popped in when I got home for a cuppa and brought me the last marrow from his allotment and green beans. Tomorrow we are getting the bus into town. Free for DF with his bus pass and £2 each way for me. He wants new clothes from m&s and I want to look at ankle boots for winter in shoe zone. May look at jumpers in primarni too. We are going for cheap lunchtime special at the chippy. Not very low carb! I will just have scrambled eggs for breakfast and soup for dinner so that should keep the carb count down a bit 😬0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Nice plans SYA 😊 enjoy the outing with DF - we lost our show zone a couple years ago proper annoying as there was always a discount to be found there. Although I have since found a market stall that does similar so all is not lost!
enjoy your chippy lunch! It’s not like you do it everyday - everything in moderation as they say 😉
ive been proper charity shop perusing - went to a town nearby that boasts 23x charity shops popped into all that were open last Saturday in search of a something that remained elusive but was fun anyway.
have a lovely time tmoz xxLancashire
