Escape to the country & living off savings

Yes I wasn’t impressed either t2count. Mood didn’t improve and I just spent the rest of the day eating 🐷
Went into Sheffield today on the train with DF. It was grey damp & windy but the sun did come out just as we were coming home. Lunch was in ‘spoons & DF’s turn to pay. I treated myself to a fleecy jumper in primarni £12 from household bills fund.Interest has been updated today
Multiple pots. £2.27
Regular saver. £22.64
Savings builder £10.46
Regular saver (6%) £4921.08. So I will fill it to max 6% amount of £5k next month then cancel the standing order. If I have read it correctly the balance of 5k will continue to get 6% interest which can just be left to add up.Savings builder (2.5%) £4370.83. This is the remaining balance of this years money so the balance reduces monthly. For 1 Nov - 1 March = 5 x 833 = 4165 plus amount to transfer into regular saver on 1 Nov (to reach 5k) £78.92. Balance left is interest not spent £126.91. This will go into my holiday pot.The rest of the equity is in bonds which mature in February. I will then take another 10k into the savings builder account to live off April 24 - March 25 and reinvest the rest for 12 months.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

That’s brilliant SYA - just watching on in admiration as you boss the finances.
Glad you had a good day in Sheffield. Shame about the sun as you was leaving but typical eh?

When my bonds mature in Feb there should be about 4k interest which will be split between emergency fund £1k, DS future wedding £1k (no date yet but they are engaged) and garden fund, including long fence £2k.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Aquafit was back on today & the water was warm but cold draught blowing through all the air vents & showers were freezing. I always shower before I go but usually rinse off the chlorine when I get out of the pool but not today 🥶
Sunny out but chilly. Called off for milk but no hot roast chickens today so I just got a portion of hot spicy wings instead. Have tidied the kitchen, loaded dishwasher & mopped kitchen floor. Windows all opened for a while for a change of air. Now having a sit down and a cuppa0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Decided to treat myself to an Indian meal delivered last night. It took 2 hours to arrive 😕 by which point I was starting to feel unwell. I took 2 paras and enjoyed the meal. Chicken curry with added cauliflower. 2 popadoms with onion and mint sauce 😋 paid from entertainment fund. £13.67Woke up at 3am with a scratchy throat, headache and blocked nose. Took 2 x cold and flu tablets and after a couple of hours I fell back to sleep until 7am. Feeling a bit rough.Sun is shining so I am going to put towels on a hot wash and hang out to dry. No other plans today.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Well I have tested positive for covid 😳🤒 😷
It’s like a bad flu, shivery, hot & cold, pain in my legs, pounding headache and my throat feels like it’s on fire. Chest aches too. Did 2 tests just to make sure 🤦♀️ Phoned DF & I’m now isolating for 10 days (mainly to protect DF and nieces baby). Will keep in contact with DF to check he has no symptoms. Last saw him on Thursday when he had his flu/covid jab! Will need to speak to GP as my Covid / flu jab supposed to be in a couple of weeks so may need to rearrange.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
