  • Thanks leftatthetrafficlights 😊

Dont worry SuzeQ I haven’t got the energy to do anything other than shower and get dressed, make hot and cold drinks and warm up food. 😆 My breathing is ok and I don’t feel any better, but I don’t feel worse either.

DF dropped me off some shopping at the door earlier. He phoned me from the supermarket about an item I’d asked him to get for me and I was surprised how much I have lost my voice! Just a little squeak left 😆 It’s strange when you don’t hear your normal voice.

So my throat has been thanking him all day for the lovely ice cream 😊

  • Thanks Doris I felt a little better this morning and have slept most of the afternoon and now feel worse again 🙄

Had a message from my friend back off her holidays to meet for cuppa and cake and we have rearranged for next week.

I am going to need more milk on Friday. Spoke to DF and if I am not feeling well enough to go shopping (Day 6) he will pick some up for me. Will not be meeting up with him in person before 10 days after testing positive.

Couldn’t taste my scrambled eggs this morning. Cottage pie ready meal was nice at lunchtime. I have some tomato soup for tea. I have finished off the ice cream 😆

  • Sunny morning here. I have congestion head this morning. Found some cold & flu tabs in my cupboard so I will try them today. I have been keeping a record on my phone of what I have taken and what time to stay safe. I feel a bit better in the mornings and then goes downhill in the evenings, similar to other viral infections/ colds I have had in the past. Breathing still fine.

I am going to put a hot wash on for my pj’s & dressing gown and hang out today. Will open all the windows and let some fresh air in.

  • Feeling much better this afternoon. Fever has gone, sore throat gone. Voice is almost back to normal after speaking to DF on the phone earlier. Day 6 tomorrow so I am able to go out, it just feels a bit weird. Will stay away from DF for 10 days.

Washed dried on the line. If it is sunny tomorrow I will put bedding on a hot wash.

Glad you're beginning to feel better as this version is very unpleasant.
Take it easy for a few weeks as it's a slow recovery too.

Thanks SuzeQ, MF and Time2count 😊

Took me ages to get to sleep last night. I am thinking it may have been the caffeine in the cold meds 😆 Got into bed after taking the evening dose and bing 😳 wide awake!

Day 6 today and feeling ok, a bit snuffly this morning & v anxious about going out so I may ask DF to get some shopping for me. Options are order online, get DF to go, go myself.

I have enough milk for a cup of tea so I will have a cuppa then see how I feel.

I’m definitely not going to aquafit today 😆
