Evening lovelies,
It’s not been the best day, but it’s not been the worst either, if we’re trying to look on the bright side. 😐️
DS has not been good company in this house today. He has avoided me for the most part and has just been unnecessarily difficult or slightly rude to me when he has had to interact. He has been singing away in his room and laughing and chatting to his friends and watching comedies so it’s not like he’s not happy today, just intent on making my day pretty rubbish it seems. There is no need for it, it’s such a shame. He has just turned into one of those teenagers who wants nothing to do with his parents. 😪 I felt really sad earlier as the Mum of one of DS’s best friends had posted photos of their lovely family walk along the coast today with her boys, one the same age as DS. There’s not a chance in heck of DS ever doing anything like that with me, he barely sits at the dinner table with me now, and if I dared post anything like that with him in it he’d go nuts. He won’t even go for a coffee or pizza or anything with me. What did I do so wrong? He used to be my best friend now we’re like two strangers living in the same house. It makes me so very sad. Urgh, more tears are falling. 😥
So, I just try and get on with my life now and do things I know will keep me busy and make me feel a little better. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
The highlight of today was an hour reading my magazine in the front room that I turned into a lounge with no TV. It’s my reading and music room! Although I am the only one who uses it. Even OH doesn’t sit in this room, it seems everyone has to have the draw of a screen. 🙄 Anyway, I love it, so it’s mine. :) I threw a blanket over my lap and sat here for an hour or so and completely escaped in the articles and stories. I love how reading lets me escape into a different world.
I had to give in when the light started fading though as the lighting isn’t great in here. I’ve been looking at getting a little rechargeable wall light to light up my reading corner, but at £30-£50 there’s no way I can justify it now.
I slow cooked a rack of ribs for DS today which I took out of the freezer last night. It smelt lovely! I asked him if they were nice and got they’re ’OK’ grunted back at me whilst scowling. Why does he scowl at me so much?! I had two sausages from the freezer and cooked us roasted squash & sweet potato with carrots and broccoli to go with.
The dishwasher’s now on the eco setting and I’ll unstack it before bed tonight. The washing didn’t dry very much so is in the utility with the dehumidifier on. I keep forgetting to look at heated airers, something exciting to do tonight I suppose! 🤨Some of the blood test results have already come back via the app and all say they’re within range. I can’t see that the B12 one is back yet, a big part of me hopes it is low and is the cause of a lot of my symptoms rather than the alternative MS diagnosis. We’ll wait and see I guess. I have had a lot of pain walking and moving again today. 😕
Right, I’m going to give my Mum and Dad a call, hopefully they’ll be ok and well enough for a chat. The friendliest conversation I’ve had today was with the phlebotomist. 😕
Sorry folks, I’m feeling a bit down and sorry for myself tonight as you can probably tell, I’ll hopefully snap out of it by the morning.
Much love xx

Check out FB for a cheap lamp 😊 I'm glad you have a place to escape to and perhaps it's good neither OH or DS want in on that space. You can fill it with your energy rather than theirs.
On the DS thing, hugs 🫂

Thanks lovely, good idea about fb.
Yes, perhaps that’s a good thing! There’s two big sofas in there so it would be nice to sit and chat with someone sometimes though.
Ok, so the rest of my blood results are now visible on the NHS app and my B12 is through my boots. It’s lower than it was before when they started me on the B12 jabs. Would explain quite a lot. 😣

I'm almost glad for you though that something has been found, it means there's something to work with now. Will they offer injections do you think?

I know exactly what you mean, @debtfreewannabe321, I'm glad too.
Yes, they will put me on the injections now. I will wait to hear from the GP this week as I'll be away so can't do anything anyway. I'll give them a ring next week if I haven't heard from them. I'm not looking forward to it, these injections really hurt! I'm not one to be bothered about giving blood etc but these are long and painful. :(
I chatted to my friend who's a GP last night and she said the levels are very low and I need to ask the Dr for a range of other tests. Her opinion was that it was too low to be diet-related (we know it's not diet-related) and could suggest other autoimmune diseases which would tally with other blood results. Hopefully it's the start of getting somewhere, although last time I had the course of treatment I felt absolutely no change at all. :(
I've been awake since 5.30am with a headache this morning and couldn't get back to sleep, so am feeling like I've been hit by a bus already. My 'good' knee has also become painful, worse than the 'bad' knee so I'm struggling with that too. 😳 Oh the joys!
The good news is that I have a couple of days off work now which will be very welcome, and I get to see my Mum and Dad tomorrow after months of not seeing them. :) It will nice to be 'home' for a few days, even though DS is not coming with me this time. 😔 Maybe he'll 'like' me more after not seeing me for a few days though, absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that… 😔Mortgage at highest: £147,500 Now: £64,402.18
