Claim Form - Please help

Hello,.
I have received the attached claim form for a oarking ticket which I was given at a free car park when we were shopping for a Kitchen at Wren.
The design and looking for a kitchen did take a long time and I did mention to them about parking which they assured me will be fine. I didn't receive the initial parking fine, so when I received a follow up I lost my ability to pay at the discounted rate.
I called Wren and they said someone will sort this out but they never did.
I didn't receive a letter before claim or anything. Now DCBL Legal are asking for £302.
What are my options guys. If it does go to court will it impact my credit file? Shall I just pay it to save the hassle?
All help will be greatly appreciated.

I suggest you start by reading the NEWBIE thread, a sticky at the top of this forum.
No definitely NO PAYING!
Going to court will not affect your credit rating. If you were very unlucky and lost in court you would need to pay the costs as per the judges orders, you only risk getting a CCJ if you do not pay in time.2 -
You should go back to Wrens and complain again. I assume you spent a lot of money on one of their kitchens and they need to get this parking invoice cancelled asap.2

The issue date if letter is 17th Feb 2023, but I only received this on the 22 Feb 2023.
The Incident happened on the 17 Feb 2019 and they did send me pictures of the time I went in and left. Can I argue that how can we trust their timings. I contacted Wren today and they sent me my order form to confirm I was there. But not sure how thet helps?0 -

Wrens can get this invoice cancelled. You need to contact them again with a very strongly worded complaint. A valued customer who has just spent thousands of £'s on a new kitchen has now been issued with a letter before claim for parking whilst in their shop.

If I had to defend myself in court, what are my chances if winning? Can the judge ask me to pay more than the current £302 if I lose?0

You need to remove that picture of your claim form, it is showing your password and claim number - if you can not please report it and ask the mods to remove it urgently. You will win this, further advice will follow, but for now please get that picture redacted or removed.
BBC WatchDog “if you are struggling with an unfair parking charge do get in touch”
Please then tell us here that you have done so.2 -
Thank you, I have removed the image of the claim form. What are the next steps please?0
