We got up this morning to a good cm of snow covering everything. It didn't hang around for long but I'm totally over winter now!
Today was a spend day- we have a refilled fridge and a meal plan for the week. So I stay on 13 NSDs.
Managed to catch up with my mum tonight, and downloaded a supermarket app onto her phone to hopefully save her a few pennies on shopping- she is very resistant to anything "technology" and her mobile tends to stay at home so whether she uses it or not is up to her- I've done as much as I can do!

I have a man in my house with a measuring tape, and a pad of paper for his drawings.Today is a good day! It is also our 7th Housiversary. I know because I have just had to pay the buildings and contents insurance on the house.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Both yesterday and today I fell asleep again after waking - several times. Very little warning - once the laptop was still open next to me and I hastily recapped my pen and put it down more than once, so I didn't wake to ink blotches all over the bedding. In the afternoon I concentrated on getting stuff out to the bins. I've not been doing a lot over the weekend but I am bagging and sending down rubbish and recycling.
I spent a few hours outside sifting soil - I am now filling my 3rd large bucket of reclaimed soil, 3 buckets of sticks and weeds have gone in the green bin, 2 loads of stones have been added to the bags in next door's yard and the first full bucket of rubbish has been decanted into a black bag. The last category took the longest because a lot of it is tiny scraps of sweet wrappers and cellophane from cigarettes with some pieces of glass and bits of a kitchen chair (the ply layers that once formed the backrest had completely peeled apart. A couple of larger bits went in next door's yard because that's where they came from originally - one was the sort of board people used to block in balustrades (ah the 70's).
I had a lovely time but tired very quickly (and had trouble moving when I stood up). Claimed the couch but then DS3 returned so I came back upstairs. Toilet rolls arrived and the first batch has come upstairs (I may have to climb into the vestibule to open the other 2 boxes). Grateful for sleep, getting stuff done and rubbish and recycling out of the house.
I'll take this chance to thank all of you for coming along on March's journey. If I'm feeling a bit more compos mentis for the rest of the week I'll find some of my stored quotes.

Today I am grateful for the end of term being in sight, for all the paperwork for a trip to France (along with 38 pupils) being completed, for dc going to youth group, for a walk in the light evening, for my warm polar bear to snuggle with at bedtime.

Thanks for this month's thread @grandmanerd.
Ooh, @f0xh0les, how exciting!!!

Got up & did yoga (first time in a week!) & Norwegian. Made breakfast & my packed munch earlier, as I had to do a detour on my way to/from work to pick up a friend 2 parishes along. Was nice to have company en route for z change.
Had a good day at work, including climbing a very high ladder to cover a noticeboard with hessian, thankful that work bestie C was helping me! Makaton training after school. Saw my first lambs of the year & they had spotty coats 😃 arrived home & DS3's GF gave me the ring she'd ordered me for mother's Day. It has all our names (& my mum's & father in law's) on it, with all our birthstones in a circle to make a flower, & inscribed to the moon & back inside. What a lot of thought she's put into it! 🥰
Unpicked a coat zip, then replaced it after tea. Took GF home, then Norwegian & bath.
Grateful for laughing at our bad singing & inharmonious tune at lunchtime, lambs, rabbits in the field behind our house, a thoughtful giftUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Thank you Grandmanerd for a inspiring March! I'm pleased you sounded like you had made huge progress yourself, one step at a time, with things at home, and it's encouraged me onwards with my daunting tasks.
Payday today, was able to clear most of the credit cards, have paid the statement balance off both, and cleared one completely. Not much has been able to be transferred to the house buying costs budget, which is the main focus for me for the next few months, so it's tight belt and firmly shut purse for me for a few months going forward!
delay repay submitted; one paid out today for a journey last week Ziffit parcel paid out. Salvaged enough snacks for the coming week from work lunch that massively overcatered .
lots to be grateful for this last few days - a night working away spent in an art deco hotel; the advice and support of Macmillan team; family who are also friends; supportive employers!8 -
Morning turtles, I’m back from my holiday which was lovely. The highlights were seeing pilot whales on our sailing trip and a sunrise sea swim yesterday. We also did a fair amount of lazing about, eating, sunbathing and drinking cocktails (I took it fairly easy as hadn’t drunk since Jan) and it was so nice to catch up with besties.Glad your cat is back @beanielou, hope everyone is well.
Grateful for feeling refreshed, for an amazing few days away and for coming back to nice weather in Madrid.Student loan £5655

Feeling much brighter, I've had a shower, washed my hair and done extra grooming. I'm resisting the urge to nap again and I've made vast improvements in 2 minor health issues that were getting out of control. I had to do another small shop (delivered for free) as I'd forgotten bicarb and the fridge freezers need love and attention, so I'm not going to do the big April/ Easter shop but will carry on working with what I have (I have prawns in the freezer - that may be my big Easter meal).
I've been doing little bits of cleaning in the bathroom and squeezed more into the bins (midnight pixie donation of huge bin bag - mine's all going in takeaway carrier bags as they'd end up in the bin anyway so may as well go in stuffed with all the other detritus) and reminded DS3 to put them out for collection. I've at least 5 more empty boxes that are going into recycling.
I've re-watched a couple of 'old favourite' films and I'm really enjoying my current library book (have read most of the books by this author several times but this is one I haven't read).
Grateful for progress in tiny steps, having fun, being ruthless with rubbish.6 -

Today I am grateful for not having to go to work, for dc finishing school early, for becoming a step grandma (4th time) and having a grand daughter after 3 boys, for a very good gym session with the singing and dancing and weighing and measuring machine making me happy, for hard boiled eggs.I'm off to start my adventurising very early tomorrow so won't be checking in. I have to be at work for 4.30am for a jolly day out in Boulogne sur mer. I have 3 fab colleagues coming with me and 38 teenagers...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!7
