Today I am grateful for finding my house key which had been MIA for about 4 weeks, for a good gym sesh as dc did their bouldering, for having had a good weekend, for extra work tomorrow (hopefully an easy day...), for just one more week until we break up.

That's great news, @beanielou! What a relief. Athough he's only been with you 2 weeks he must know where his new home is if he found his way back! Clever lad.
Collected a car load of shoeboxes for the appeal. Planned to wrap 6 but realised after 2 that my skills lie elsewhere! At least if they think they are too messy they can rip the paper off and redo them.
Sorted a bag of bright buttons, ribbons, sequins and bows to send with the shoeboxes for sewing onto gifts. Reducing my craft stash and finding a good home for it at the same time.
OH was in an accident on his motorbike a couple of days ago that knocked him off his bike and hurt him. The vehicle hit him from behind so it was a huge shock. We're so thankful that it wasn't worse but he's been very shaken by it and so have I.
Today i booked a holiday in Cornwall in Sept to cheer us up. Cottage has new owners, gone up about 25% and moved to a new letting agent. Will go this year but look elsewhere in 2024. At least split between 3 of us the price is more manageable.
I've booked zumba gold class again as I think it's doing me good as my job is quite sedentary. I've also booked to take my friend to see Terry Pratchetts The Wyrd Sisters at the local theatre for her birthday as she loves all of his books. Consequently only on NSD#3.
Well, I better go and clear all the craft bits off my bed so I can go to sleep. I must stop putting stuff on my bed as it takes ages to clear up and by then I'm not tired any more!
Gratitudes: OH being alive, Mr.M returning to Beanielou, getting a holiday booked and spending time with mum looking in H*me Sense at their beautiful Easter decorations.
I hope everyone has a good week x

@beanielou, glad your cat has come home. It's so worrying when they disappear. Ours once spent over 3 weeks on the missing list, and when she did come home just wandered in looking for her dinner!
Sneaking in before Sunday ends to claim NSD13.
I've got my weather reporter hat back on- snow showers and high winds mixed with the sun shining today. Very confusing.
Grateful today that i live in a community where people pull together when someone needs help, lambs appearing everywhere and DD proving herself to be a polite and helpful person at an event.11 -
Evening turtles. @beanielou I'm glad your cat came home, they really put us through the wringer don't they! @Esmeralda2662 glad your OH is okay, hope he isn't too shaken up.
Today was day 1 of my new gym membership, I walked there first thing and did legs and core, can't do any arms because of my tennis elbow so just doing what I can. Just need to get booked on some of the classes I wanted to do, they're so popular the bookings fill up pretty quickly.
Worked from home today and managed to get a load of washing done, quickly mopped the kitchen and bathroom floors, and dealt with a few nagging little jobs that I could quickly get out of the way. Nothing much else to report. NSD 16 today! I was quite ambitious aiming for 20 this month, don't think I'll quite make it but not far off.9 -
Hi apple thanks for doing April, @grandmanerd thanks for finding us through March.
After a funky month I am happy to be moving on.
And today was a kind of celebration of all of the stuff that was stuck in my brain all month.

Today I am grateful for only needing to work 2/3 day as an extra, for dc coping with school, for lots of daylight, for popcorn, for a good book.

Yes @apple_muncher & @Esmeralda2662 you were both right! I realised my mistake after I'd posted it & changed my clock
So glad Mr M is back @beanielou, give him a stroke from me.
DS1 had a good 21st birthday yesterday. He had to work at lunchtime, but it wasn't very busy & all the staff had had a collection for him & he got £250 😯 plus all signed a card & gave him a cake. I did some sewing in the middle thing, then fetched mum from town. We looked through DS's baby photos, he'd asked me to look some out, think he enjoyed looking at them. Didn't get his birthday fudge cheesecake made until after tea, but it was delicious 😋 Took mum home again after that. NSD#14
Had a good day at work, was finally able to see the play (dress rehearsal). It was really good & funny in places, the songs were amazing! Drove home, then DS1 drive me to my opticians appointment. After having more tests done, they confirmed I do have a cataract in one eye. I'm being referred to get it removed. DS drove me home again & lent me his sunglasses as the light was too bright.
My pupils were getting back to normal after tea, so I was able to sew a new zip into a coat. Gave DS petrol money.
Grateful for DS having a good birthday, Mum sticking to her guns & telling her boss that she's retiring in Wed (they've known since before sproutmas, she's done an extra 7 weeks, & now they're asking if she wants to do part days! NO, SHE WANTS TO RETIRE!!), for seeing the play, good friendsUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
