Can't remember if anyone has offered to run April. I'm more than happy to do it...

@Thrifty_Taylor I thought the clocks go forward and we lose an hour in bed?! Hope I've got it right!
@beanielou I hope your cat comes back soon, it's upsetting when they don't come home. Hope he's just exploring! x10 -
@beanielou I hope your cat comes back safely soon
Yesterday I was on call at work, I very briefly got called in but it was all simple to deal with and I was home early.
Batch cooked some lunches and watched TV with OH, then we went for a walk. OH suggested visiting a local pub for dinner, I didn't feel much like cooking so agreed, it was really nice. So I did lose a NSD but it was worthwhile.
Today weather is rubbish, need to go and see my share horse but not sure if we'll go out. Nothing worse than sitting there getting soaked!9 -

Sunday 26th March 2023
Welcome to British Summer Time - my body says it's way too early for anything.
S Small habits repeated daily are the foundation of any change (big or small). Succeed on your own times, ignore the braying donkeys on facebook (a lion doesn't need to tell anyone it's a lion), lions ignore the scoffing hyenas and follow your own path, not the crowd.
I need this part of the challenge atm. Some habits are going well, some have escaped me totally and are running around like headless chickens. I have plans for certain things but for various reasons, some of those are on hold. And after several days of steady progress and my bedroom looking more like a bedroom than it has done in years, yesterday I stalled and it feels like everything's falling to pieces around my ears.
It's not, of course and I'm not looking for sympathy (I'll take hugs anytime from anyone). I'm just trying to get my thoughts in order and find some ways to go forward. We all know things change as we get older but the sudden unexpected lurch downwards can take us by surprise. So I adapted when after years of bringing all the food (and many other things) into the house on my back, I adapted to doing smaller shops and using a small 'day out' rucksack a lot of the time (only 19 l rather than 65 - 90 l). I picked a small trolley as my back hurt when putting things into and out of the deep trolley (and I complained when one shop got rid of their's).
I added a monthly SM shop to my routine and brought all the bulky and heavy items home in a taxi (10 and 20 l bags of cat litter, 20 or so tins of tomatoes etc). then added SM deliveries. I used the walker for carrying bags when i could no longer walk and carry bags (you can pack a lot on a walker and they're very useful for moving large bags of compost round the garden and tipping into large pots in situ).
I'm not going into a depression circle but I have felt that things were 'out of balance' this week and I need to take action (and in some cases think what actions are possible), so currently working on:
1 Doing a bit Even if you can't 'do it all', taking the first step helps. You might find yourself taking several subsequent steps
2 Revising old strategies and seeing if they might help I rarely use milk and not much bread (trying to reduce that further) so using old techniques like buying the smallest bottles (will stand upright in a freezer drawer) and dividing the bread into portions.
3 Brainstorming Chuck it all down on a piece of paper without filtering, some will be obvious, some will be useless, some will need adapting and there might be the odd spark of genius in there.
4 Concentrating on what is done not what still needs doing. It doesn't have to be 'perfect', done is better than perfect but not complete
5 Elephants I seem to have acquired a herd of big imponderable jobs so I'm concentrating on simple rules and developing them into habits (still a bit hit and miss atm) establishing routines and dates - mid month for CPAP filter changes, adding dates for pill reorders to my diary and not stressing over toilet rolls (we need them, I have space to store them, I don't have head space to fret over whether it's too soon =extravagant or too late = we will run out.

Oh Beanie, I hope the cat comes back.
I'm happy for you to do next month apple (nice to have someone competent in charge). However I have a vague recollection that Foxholes offered (it's all vague these days)
Hugs to anyone that needs one or wants one. I am still here (although I've got that looking at the world through a window vibe going on). Things will improve (or I'll shout and start hitting them - no, no violence, lots of gentle encouragement).
Grateful for a 'do nothing day', making progress, some ideas to put into practice.8 -
Not me for April @grandmanerd, at least I don't think it was. Not sure I am going to be around for some of it.
