Did yoga first thing.
Not a good morning at work, but the afternoon was better. Met the new teacher who starts next week, she seems nice so far. Helped a colleague download sp0t1fy & showed her how to use it, she was SO excited!
Sorted through DS2's discarded felt tips, then unpicked a zip in some trousers. Replaced that after tea, altered another pair of trousers, then sewed curtain tape onto a Roman blind (after I'd taken all the poles, etc out). Felt quite good that I'd achieved so much. Did 4 Norwegian lessons (only got 1 thing wrong in the whole lot), then thought while I'm on a roll, I'll attempt level 8 of the word matching 'test' - conquered that too 🎉 had a bath & read my book, 50 pages left so may finish it tonight yet!
Grateful for a stress-free afternoon, getting lots done, having a Thrush in the garden this morning (a rare occurrence)Use it up, wear it out

Another day waking up far too early for no good reason!
Yesterday I managed a quick workout before work, had a relatively good day in the office but had an emergency to deal with right at the end of the day. I was flagging by lunchtime and caved and bought an energy drink so lost my NSD.
I decided to cancel my health insurance as I've just tried to claim to see a physio for a problem with my arm but they'll only authorise me to see a consultant! Excess is £250 so I'd probably spend that on the appointment just to be told to go to a physio, so as the renewal was up I decided to leave it and will go with Benenden instead. Different type of cover but a third of the price and is probably closer to what I wanted all along. Booked the physio appointment for Saturday.
Went to boxing class last night and was absolutely shattered, fell asleep on the sofa at around 10. Awake very early again today but I have today and Monday off work so at least I can relax!

Happy St Patrick's Day! Did you know there are no moles in Ireland? or weasels? no?They only mention Patrick banishing the snakes, no idea what he had against moles or lolloping weasels.Suppose it might have been a coincidence, but if he was going to take credit for one, why not all?Stabbed the vein in the back of my hand on a sharp piece of metal last night, ouch, ouch, blimey it bled and the bruise was massive, very scary though, and nothing to do with moles.....The clocks go forward soon, so it is suddenly light ridiculously early. That is why we are all waking up early and being tired (grrr!) the quality of light is no longer acceptable.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Morning turtles!
A busy day yesterday, and I was seriously flagging after my gym class at lunchtime. It was NSD 6. Managed to sell a pair of brand new plimsoll type shoes on an app, so will have to meet the person today. Feeling spurred on to list a few more items. All food from stores but may need a small top up shop today (can’t decide if it’s a need or a hankering for crisps) and will be making brekkie for a friend on Sunday morning so will need bits for that, but will try to stretch the “proper” shop until sat.
grateful for free fruit at work, for my slow mornings, for feeling strong.!

I've solved the mystery of the council tax. I had forgotten the government gave us £150 towards it last year and our local authority paid it by deducting £15 from the monthly payment. So this year in it will be going up by £15 plus the 5.6%increase per month. I just couldn't make sense of it yesterday. Ah well, problem solved.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9

Did quite a lot yesterday but not much to show for it and labelling photos wore me out (and I made a mistake in some complicated embroidery and don't think I can find the energy to correct it atm - it may have to go back into the drawer. This morning I've found more things to go downstairs. I have 3.5 empty drawers (a couple of things are on the bed) and wiped them out with a damp rag. Those will be my bedding and towels drawers (an old fashioned chest with drawers deep enough for towels and bedspreads but a lot lighter than the 4' x 4' ones I had when the boys were small - utility rather than mahogany/ rosewood). When the drawers are dry I have a bedspread, a throw and a small throw to go in there.
The other set of drawers will hold most of my clothes (currently the towels and bathmats are in there as well which means things sometimes get put away in any spare gaps, not in order). Incidentally, DS3 said my money was well hidden when I sent him to get some (he was looking under the t-shirts and the money is standing up at the front of the drawer and at the side). Must arrange to meet my niece soon and pass that along to my brother.
Then I'll be able to sort out the things underneath (most of that is organised - think it's just the bedspreads and empty bags for life that make it look messy. The third set of drawers is next to my bed on the window side of the room and I haven't got that far yet. One empty craft drawer downstairs so I've packed up the wrapping paper, gift bags, packaging and tags to go down and added many oddments of craft/ sewing and stationery items. I only have beautiful notebooks left, all the cheap sale ones are gone. Bit of a dilemma because they are so beautiful I don't want to spoil them and however many good intentions I start with, the day will come when I'm scrabbling to scribble down information from someone on the end of a phone line and it won't be pretty. However they are intended to be used, I need to rid myself of thoughts about not being worthy of the beautiful notebook.
I have done lots more little things this morning. I took out a new bulky filter for the CPAP machine (that's the half drawer that still has stuff in (mostly medical and personal but infrequently needed). The top drawer in both sets is shallower than the rest (one has dividers in it) so will hold things like handkerchiefs and masks and bits that I need to be able to find when I need them but that won't be very often plus any bits that will get lost in the bigger drawers.
DS3 and Beloved are asleep so I want to get downstairs, but not just yet. I need to think about clothes as the cardigan and dress that were new on yesterday have had accidents and they've gone to the wash pile with the dress I was wearing before yesterday. DS3's garments are aggravating me and I'm trying to think of something suitably passive aggressive to do with them. He's so large his kaftan type thing is as heavy as a bedspread and there's something black (a crow outfit?) that he wore to the last convention. Whatever, they do not belong on my couch and I'm not hanging them up.
I'll go and sort this drawer and then gather my stuff together - I might even open the downstairs curtains and let the light in (DS3 keeps them shut). Have a good day turtles.
Grateful for DS3 putting 'Going Postal' on again, even if I was too ill to enjoy it. Feeling organised - my mother once acknowledged that I was tidier than her. She wants nothing visible, everything away in drawers or in boxes in cupboards but the interiors often have a jumble of things and everything needs to be hunted for. My house looks cluttered but my drawers are very organised and except for the 2 years of PTSD I can tell complete strangers where to find random items. Reclaiming my house bit by bit.9 -

Evening turtles, back again. Had a nice chilled day today, quickly logged onto my work laptop and sent a couple of emails that I forgot to sort yesterday but logged straight back off again once that was done. Did some admin including setting up some standing orders, then painted my nails and put some wraps on for a bit.of self-love!
Went to the gym for pilates at lunchtime then off for a quick walk and chat to my mum on the phone. Got a vegan chilli in the slow cooker and did some washing, then just fell asleep for 30 minutes, which hopefully makes up for my unnecessarily early start this morning!Save £2,400 tuition fees - £2,321.04 as of 08/24

I have got a lot done and am very very tired. Cleared the floor from the bedroom door to the far wall and along the end of the bed. Lined 2 drawers (my back protested when I tried for the bottom drawer. Throws, bedspreads, sheets, towels, the non-slip bathmat (the type that goes on the bottom of the bath to stop slipping) are all in one set of drawers.
Taken downstairs (or queuing) 2 dozen tins of tomatoes, rubbish bag, paper bag, cardboard box, cans, bottles, jars for recycling, 'food' bag (buns eaten, butter back in Beloved's fridge, tomatoes back in my fridge, cheese binned (it was way out of date when I opened it and I have got 3 meals out of it, plate and cutlery by sink, contents of the gift wrap drawer, cookery and craft books, washing, 2 bags for life full of things that are going to live downstairs (plus thing like the laptop and my current reading book which came back upstairs bag of things to be handed over on Sunday.
Taken upstairs 2 loads of clean clothes, bags that had been emptied returned for refilling (paper, bottles etc steadily growing). In total I've walked downstairs (backwards with the bags in front of me) 4 times and up again 5 times, which was definitely far too much (did it as efficiently as possible - not being able to find my laptop in either of the big bags was the killer. 2 trips with a heavy bag plus other lighter bags, searched for laptop, back upstairs and searched the bed, back downstairs and teh pesky thing had slid underneath the other things and was lying flat along the bottom of the bag. Many things put away, one small bag and a pile of tiny stationery bits left for the morning. 3 empty bags for life brought back upstairs for more tidying (also found 3 bags for life, 2 small bags for life, 2 cloth bags and one plastic carrier).
Grateful for many small useful bits found including red satin sheeny (a bit metallic) bias binding - I use it for edging festive stockings, many more pens, pencils and embroidery threads, pine cones, my bed tray and best of all my new boots. I bought them for Winter 2021 - the shop looked as if it were closing down (had a notice of the nearest branch in the window) and both mum and I had found these pull on boots useful and attractive. I bought a black pair as well and they fell to pieces a while ago but the beige ones, I've never been able to find both of them at one time (they are similar in colour to both my walking boots and my 'monkey boots' so usually lots of false sightings.11
