May have missed it of course.
But that isn't going to happen for another six weeks.1 -
Strange card rejection today when I tried to use my Nationwide FlexPlus debit card in Aldi. Card not used for a while but I tried contactless (£80 approx) & message was Card type not supported. Then tried with PIN, but it requested a 5th digit for PIN😏. Tried one more time with same result so gave up & used usual credit card.I’m convinced I used correct PINbut have requested reminder just in case.I also noticed Nationwide seem to have withdrawn their secure message function in favour of a chatbot🙁2

I have an old card which is due to be replaced later this year and it does not have the contactless facility!
So it came as a shock when I tried in Aldi yesterday and it was rejected (hadn't realised that it wasn't contactless until that moment!) ......but it worked fine with the PIN
.....and worked in Tesco todayBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I haven't seen any rule that says you can't keep crocodiles in your bathroom either but it doesn't mean you can0

It's illegal to keep crocodiles in the UK unless you have a licence - which you won't get if your accommodation for your crocodiles is your bathroom as it won't meet the necessary criteria:

IIRC, the usual principle in English law is that if something isn't expressly forbidden it's allowed. If the terms don't state the promotion only applies to one account per person then it must apply to all relevant Nationwide current accounts. For instance, it's not as if we've been asked to nominate an account where we have more than one - at the very start of the promotion I had/have two.

I got an email about this today, I didn't know anything about it as I don't log into Nationwide that often as I only use it for savings, I have a basic Flex account but really just for getting money out of savings accounts, I get a weekly online shop from Tesco so will put the card on there to use until the end of April, that should cover £200 a month and I don't need to know the forgotten PIN number.0
