Received parking notice despite having entered my registration details

I've received a parking charge notice although parking is free at this location as long as you enter the details into the tablet provided - which I am sure I did. However, I've now received two separate notices or two different days and I am baffled as to how to respond in appealing. I have spoken to the receptionist of the venue and they've said they do not own the land and I must follow the appeal process, which seems to be inherently flawed.

I have included in the album pictures of the notice, some of the signs outside the venue and the tablets response (although unfortunately not for the day of parking)

About the only thing to be gained from your heavily redacted image of the Parking Charge Notice is that Civil Enforcement Limited are the parking company involved.

Where exactly did this parking event take place?
Has it been mentioned before on this forum?

Not everyone here will want to click on an unknown link. Please tell us more.

You've read NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST and know how to appeal?

Sounds like a typo in the VRM.  Do you own or drive 2 cars? Any chance of putting in the wrong VRM entirely?

    Which parking firm?

    Which venue /retail park/ town?

I was told not to provide any details that could identify myself.

    Its Blackburn, Daisyfield.

CE have been mentioned but I can't find anything re the venue. I spoke to the venue and theyve said they don't own the land and this is a measure due to having had a great deal of anti social behaviour on the carpark and are very sympathetic to issues of this nature.

Is there any other information which I am ok providing? As you can see I'm quite anxious about all this :  ( I really can't afford to pay anything out.

I've read the newbies link ... but got so bogged down and no-one else seemed to have a similar situation.

No other car than this one. Wondering if I pressed 0 or o.

    Daisyfield- swimming place in Blackburn.

    Civil Enforcement?

Tell them in the online appeals that you want them to check for a 'minor or major keying error' as the driver only has access to one car and did input the VRM.  Say that you require the Tablet log from the day in question, with partially redacted VRMs (of unrelated vehicles) but showing any unmatched, partial or close-match VRM.

Rinse and repeat for both PCNs.

Expect some old rubbishy template rejection.

    No paying!

Well I've done as you've suggested and am expecting a refusal ... but I live in hope, I've worried so much about this these past few days that I've really got myself in a bit of a mess with things. It's really added even more to a currently stressful situation I'm currently dealing with - if finances allowed I'd have paid it by now : (

If they do refuse the appeal, what next?

Don't pay. This is exactly what they want, to frighten and intimidate people into paying.

They are scammers, leeches, the lowest of the low...why would you give them your hard earned money?

Just heed the advice given here.

Yes, I've read it. I was hoping there was something else too. Just feels very unfair atm.

Well if it is a single digit keying error as you suspect, then the PCNs will be cancelled anyway.
