  • Bank holiday ✓ back at work today ✓ bank account. Desperately awaiting payday 😂 GT paid on Friday. Am still in less debt than last month but it's not been pretty. Schools back soon so budgeting should be more predictable

  • My payday is Friday and wage slip due soon. This will be my first full flat wage so I'll know what I'll be paid each month. I have an idea as last month I had a payment towards a desk(they fund it if you work from home). Will be easier to work out the budget once I know.

Just logged in. Inbox full. How does this happen overnight. Ah well keeps me out of mischief

  • Wage slightly better than what salary calculator had said so am happy. Definitely going to be able to break even and breathe a bit more being full time. And being able to work from home has been great. I've only spent 250 on childcare this summer -we've both had a week's worth of leave to help. A leave the house full time job would have cost me about 175 a week and left the eldest home alone all day which we've  only had to do twice all summer-hes not quite ready but needs must as no childcare round here once u leave primary

  • So update for record keeping. Debts in my name
    1976,  2139 and 2616.

    Debts in OH name
    Unknown - 4k plus I would imagine and 4323.

Bills/e fund savings account has about 400 in it.
General account should hopefully has enough for day to day stuff till payday.

1976 is on 0% till April and who I bank with so I left that running on minimum. My other two are defaulted and I need to start sending something now I'd think. It would be nice to get savings pot with at least a 1000 in it by Xmas!  Due a pay rise of 100 a month which will help if they agree it before the end of fix term. (Don't find out till a month or so before if it will be extended or not)

Boring update done 😂 have a good day everyone!!

  • Now they have defaulted I'd reach out to companies to set up a payment plan. Just make sure its affordable to you

I agree with keeping your payments as low as you can.  It's better to be saving.  Make sure your budget is worst case scenario - including perhaps needing childcare all through the holidays.
