@Coxy11, there’s a cheap brand of plastic boxes think they are called wow , B and M have them also seen in Wilko and Asda. Only a couple of pounds a box and sometimes on sale,in grey or white or pink.
@Dfw38 I love a wide leg trouser ,and recently got a pair with a ‘go faster’ stripes down the side like joggers have 😂 so you can still be young and trendy.
Getting a wash done as it looks decent out, then maybe a short walk, I worked yesterday but picked up some fresh flowers they look lovely on the windowsill. I was gifted a couple of tops so need to look for something to get rid of.
Been invited to visit Sis to have a cheeky wine 🍷 tonight, then hoping to have a good walk on Sunday.
have a fab weekend all 😍Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.8 -
I had a nice day out yesterday. I met a lady from this forum and we went for a walk on a nature reserve, to the local Hadleigh castle and to the Belfairs woods. I have seen the castle, well, ruins, from the train lots of times, but hadn't been up there before.
I did over 23,000 steps yesterday. I'm just staying in this weekend and I will try and finish the book Queenie that I started.
I'm really craving an afternoon tea now with these pics. I might book one for my birthday which is in a couple of weeks.:)8 -
@wort mine have go faster stripes too 🤣. What is it they say? "Growing old is inevitable but growing up is optional" ha ha ha2024 decluttering Campaign

good Morning lovely ladies.Nice to see you all busy and buzzing with ideas, treating yourselves and enjoying life.I am sooooo ready for a spring wardrobe revamp. In fact so ready for spring........Fed up with winter now and so fed up with wearing my winter woollies. I am going to ditch most of them very soon. I have ordered a couple of fine knit sweaters to fill in a couple of gaps in my wardrobe as we transition into spring. I've got plenty of jeans, trousers, jackets for summer but a bit low on tops.No real plans for the weekend as such. Will finish decluttering the kitchen today, cupboards looking much better. It's a bit chilly yet but I will go for a walk later. Don't much fancy it, 😂. But needs must.Hope you all have a Wonderful Weekend10

This is such a depressing time of year. I can't wait for Spring as well. I like the start of Autumn and Christmas, but when the colder weather drags on like this it's the pits. I want some summery clothes too as I wasn't prepared for the heatwave we have had last year. I really want a knee length denim skirt but haven't found quite what I want in the chazzers lately.
I managed to break the loo seat today as I was cleaning it and it broke off! I'm still waiting for a workman to come round and give us a quote for some work we need doing also and for my Amazon delivery to arrive. I deleted that Queenie book as I really couldn't get into it.
I think when the workmen leaves I will look for a good film to watch and I'm going to make myself a lovely hot chickpea and mushroom curry later.:)

Thanks for the box tips @wort I will take a look!
My wonderful weekend got off to a good start as I went wedding dress shopping with DIL2B, her mum and her sister this morning. So many lovely dresses and so heavy! That's a workout right there - hanging them up and moving them around!
We went for a nice lunch afterwards, I then did the food shop in Aldi and just about to watch the rugby. DH is at DS1s doing some DIY today.
The Cocaine Bear movie was hilarious and gruesome in equal measure - based on a true story??!!
Have a lovely evening everyone,

My mother and I have had many a discussion about Edwardian tea gowns. We think they were the one outfit that didn't need corsets (themselves requiring help to get on) and they always look so lush...in every sense. Silk, velvet, exotic trimmings and hand-embroidered....delicious and that's before you've had a bite! Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx5

hi just catching up!Me and my Sister took my Brother who has Downs syndrome to Blackpool at half term. We went on the Sunday. We went to bed and his sleep apnea machine wouldn't switch on. We ended up having to go to Manchester on the monday morning to do an exchange. On the wed eve he took ill and we had to go the hospital there. They told us that he had fluid on his lungs and to come back the following day for a CT scan/ After a long day of trying to put canulas in we were kept in and remained in for 6 nights with his chest infection! I have to say that the hospital were marvellous but he was so fed up. We kept making trips out to the car to gather clean clothing!Glad to get home and in my own bed and back to work.Spent this morning doing a bit of tidying in the back. Emptying dead plant pots. the paving and decking are so green after the winter.I took my Brother to Hebden Bridge for hot chocolate and cake this afternoon. He wanted to do his usual swim but I askedthe Doctor and they said to leave it this week.Enjoy your week everyone x8

oh dear Sheila.....so sorry to read your post. What a difficult week. I hope your brother is ok now. Such a worry for you.Magic Mondays
tbh not feeling it this Morning. I still have a few minor health issues going on at the moment, so not feeling my best. Still very tired and still the usual aches and pains. I've got chiro today, not exactly an inviting prospect. Just two more treatments to go and then the review. Perhaps it's a case of you need to get worse before you get better but i can't really say I've noticed any significant improvements. I will know more on Wednesday when I see the scans.I will make a decision then as to whether to continue with the treatments or not but so far I have to say I am disappointed with what feels like my (lack of) progress. Perhaps I'm expecting too much and need to have more patience.Have been busy with the the decluttering and deep cleaning. I was hoping to do some gardening over the weekend but it was a tad cold for me. Im very much a fair weather gardener. Still I'm happy with what I achieved. The house looks and feels much better.Wednesday.....I agree the tail end of winter is very depressing. It just seems like a slog now. Energy levels are depleted and it can be hard to stay motivated. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.😂🤣. Although if Im honest my spirit is actually quite weak too at the moment.I think, for me, i need to make today Mindset Monday😉. Work on my mindset, give myself a stern talking to, get a grip and up my game.Ah well, Time to get the show on the road..Have a good week .....❤️8
